Does anyone know what the new hires are being told about office days?

Constant rumours may go to 4 days for everyone (not just people managers).

What is the messaging from HR when they recruit staff on this?

Go ask your manager in your next 1 on 1.

And if you don’t have one, then you set one up. And ask- are we going to be coming in 4 days a week and when? You will be told directly

Understand their is capacity issues, although it could I suppose be expanded to more staff, but not everyone. I don't think anyone knows on this forum.

I remember in Jan/Feb the rumor on here for 4 days a week was going to be dropped on us in March 25. Look now it is March and still 3 days.

The 4 days a week rumor is not possible with capacity issues in various locations.

I have seen examples where people are just getting moved around to avoid the managers 4 day office rule. For example, instead of team leads with a few reports each, everyone just getting moved and placed under 1 manager. Anyone else noticed this?

A manager is not going to disseminate a rumor even if the manager believes that rumor to be true. Completely unprofessional. At best the manager will be vague. If he/she actually confirms- the official announcement is prob within a week away at most. Whoever is calling out cowardice is clearly not in a management position nor will ever be. Alas I think this question is a waste on this forum as I don’t believe anyone in the inner circle is seriously going on this site and opining.

I am a manager in UK, and I can confirm my department have had no official communications about any future increase.

However I suspect there could be an announcement in April, with 3 months notice. But that is just my opinion.
