Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

What’s to stop all the banks from going bust

With how far the stock market has fallen and with Trump’s tariffs having no end in sight, how will any of the banks survive this? If the stock keeps falling they have to fire people, right, and what happens if it keeps going down after

@cn+1jr6z84hp - OP is not making a "liberal" comment, it's a plain Stupid comment.

OP obviously has no clue how banks work or are funded.

I'm liberal (and in the Markets business) and all this markets chatter is assinine.

Even with the fall-out -- which is over Uncertainty (which markets and institutional investors hate) -- the equity market is only down 1/20 of a one percent (.02691, to be precise) from where it was a year ago.

Am not losing any sleep over this.

Media and social platforms are just riling everyone up to get clicks.

Ignore the noise.

If people need any of this money in the next 1-3 years, then they should not be holding it in Equities.

Keep it in perspective folks and don't fall for all the media mongering.

BAC had one point down at $25/share and survived. You just have to be needed even in down cycles and survive along with the firm.

Don't forget. Bank of America does RESONSIBLE growth. It's one of our coar beliefs. So not to worry about your job! We are doing fine. Great even. Really great.

Anyone who has been laid off already was not performing properly to our rigoris expectations.

Remember that the stock market is dropping based on “what if” right now. It’s not a result of hard data but based on fears of future data. So if things become the accepted norm with whatever tariff costs result or if even deals get made and tariffs rolled back that would change that hard data too (and likely the first “deals” will trigger a rise in the market). The bank stocks will rise at some point again likely when deregulated policies pass Congress.
