Why are forced wfh employees being treated like anything but employees? We don’t get recognitions at all like in office employees are. not even on employee appreciation day. Not allowed to get promotions or give them either. BNY forced this situation and now act retaliatory toward anyone they put in it. Hows it even legal to withhold advancement opportunities?

They have created fake corporate addresses for some higher ups that have always been based at home. Based at home address until March, now a suite in a PW branch 3 hours away. The complete lack of honesty and integrity is absolutely sickening. Forcing managers to rank decent employees PM just to get someone out the door without severance IS happening. Hiring freezes except in India. More cuts coming in May. This place is toxic. I have never seen it this bad. I am so very sorry to those they have done wrong. We were better with you. Best of luck to you.
If you’re a forced WFH person (no office to go to) you’re first on the list to go, UNLESS your psycho narcissistic manager is aware you want to go … then they will keep you around until you leave on your own. Aware of at least one of these types - plain EVIL.
If you’re a based at home employee, know that you’re first on “the list.” It’s no secret. They want people at the hubs and in office, and BAH doesn’t fit with the agenda. Sad but true. Get looking…
You see this isn’t entirely true. If you buddy up with the head of a department. Let’s say Global Payments, you sure can be based at home and just say you’re “slowly” transitioning to Pittsburgh wink wink. They will even pay for you to travel to Pitt and put you in a cozy hotel.
If you don’t like working from home because you think you are getting cheated get of your a-s and come back to work because it’s not great there either
employee appreciation day??
WTH. Come on. Where have you been? With Robin’s day of the dead management wing, you should simply count yourself grateful he allows you to work here. Service anniversaries are a joke now too. 10, 20, 30 year people get recognized by emails and a day off. Oh, be still the beating heart!
I'm annoyed I have to spend 2 to 2.5 hours commuting to the office or I risk being fired, even if one day short. I have zero in person meetings or need to be in the office. Yet others work from home every day and it's no problem. That's completely unfair.
I also have never got a promotion or any appreciation.
yeah im seeing that as well. They absolutely dont care the struggles coming from that location either. Instead get rid of staff or push them out who know their jobs. Recipe for disaster
Pretty much everything they're doing right now is aimed at getting people to quit without having to pay severance.
All our open reqs are in India, which says a lot about their strategy, if you can call it that.
