I put in my 2 weeks and specifically emphasize I was going to another Bank. The next day, my Access was cut off and was paid my rest of my 2 weeks. I worked on the private side so not sure this might work with your role.

I’ve seen people rehired after being marked unhireable.

It’s been several years but the last time I saw it done the person was marked as unable to rehire.

In early 2024, I received an email that stated due to the nature of my role (ha ha), I was required to digitally sign/acknowledge the company's Non-Compete policy (ok, fair enough), but tucked into this reasonable non-compete policy, it stated that not only could I not work for a competitor within 3 months of my departure, I was also required to give 60 days notice if I planned to leave. (some colleagues, more senior than me, were told 90 days). It was stated that signing this electronic document was now a condition of my employment.

Any y'all think they'd give me SIXTY days notice if they wanted to get rid of me?!?

Heck no.

Bottom line, I would have LOVED to give One Day or even Same Day notice, but they made me give 60 days. Never got my lay off, nor a package, but I did finally get my freedom.

I am just half assing this job until something else better comes along. This company has weak leadership along with incompetent mutherfockas. The CEO doesn't know his a-s from a hole in the wall.
