Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

At what point do we finally say enough?

The pay hasn’t kept up for years, but the workload just keeps growing. Every time someone leaves, the rest of us have to pick up the slack - for the same shrinking paycheck. With prices shooting up, it feels like we’re just running in place. Why are we still here? I’m running out of reasons.

If you haven't been looking elsewhere, you aren't paying attention. The bank could not be more clear that they do not want you here. The job market is brutal now. Don't wait until they PIP you to start looking.

Make sure you blow up their “ anonymous surveys”. Give them proper scores cause senior leaders absolutely read them and comment back. Probably because they were given a goal too or they’d ignore them. Also turn it in to ethics. The more doing it the better

Yes, definitely time to get the resume out. WFH was the only thing that made it possible to put up with the corporate bs. Now that they've taken it away, I have no reason to stay here.

We get comfortable and scared of change, but this is enough for me.
They claim to care about mental health and work life balance but contradict that. There is no more balance now. They’re stuck in a time warp and ignore what employees actually need to thrive.
We’ve got 4 months. Get that resume updated and start looking. I for sure am. Good luck to all!
