Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Clown Hall questions that will never come up…

Hey Robin, when do the layoffs in the US stop and when? Do you honestly believe India is stable let alone some innovation hub??? Do tell

Hey Robin, what is your ‘real’ vision for this company. What will it look like? How many employees? where will they be ? How do we know when we get there? Tell the truth

Hey Robin, why does Dermie keep telling us how great P-OM is but somehow we never see metrics comparing it to how much got done before it?

Robin if you believe employees are shareholders and stakeholders, why do we not have direct profit sharing?

Hey Robin, with coming back to the office 4 days, added expenses and such meager employee reward sharing , do you think you have both a morale problem and a culture problem? Do you believe Peakon is a good pulse of what is going on? Do you?

Hey Robin, how do I survive here? What is the best place for me to help and not feel threatened? Is there one?

Robin, you seem to place all your chips on Investors and not so much on employees and existing clients. Why? Can you explain why, if you dont think this is true?

Robin why do you never talk about the proud history of this company and how it helped form and protect the United States? Why do you talk about transforming it frequently? Do you dislike the Bank of New York? And why did you choose to let our Mellon name die?

Robin, you often do not look well. Are you fit for leadership? What do you think leadership means and for whom does it and you it serve?

Here's the TL;DR of Robin's speech:

"Hey guys, come check out our newest office located in a third-world country that's in an active war zone! Oh, and it's way nicer than our flagship office located in the city that bears our company's name. Also, muh A.I., muh A.I."

Here’s a question:

“Two years ago, you said unless there was a massive failure, we would not return to the office four days per week. So what failed? How is it being fixed and who was held accountable for this failure?”

No point asking Robin anything. The guy is useless.

I'm sure making people commute 3-4 hours a day really helps with productivity .

The hired consultants salaries are higher than most of our grade levels. All the hired consultant positions over the years are quite nauseating, Remember THE VISION BOARD and the huddles?. Where are those boards now? All the wasted money.

the only reason why they’re saving money with the p-m that McKenzy fleeced them on is because it’s mandatory 10% cut staff once you’re in… Not because it created efficiencies… More work just gets put on everybody else…they are forcing the efficiencies/reduction in staff by adding more work to everybody else

in three years. McKenzie will be peddling some other BS that these imbeciles will buy into.

Not only did they hire a consult to figure out how to cram more of us in the office for 4 days in office , they now have to push out the move to Ross Street in PIttsburgh to reconfigure all of the floors.
Haha. Mo--ns.

What's absolutely absurd is how they're demanding everyone return to office – yet are closing down or downsizing locations. Like, I could maybe compromise with the 4-day thing if they still kept the locations in King of Prussia open or allowed us to maybe transfer to Berwyn of Pennington, since it would give me a reason to move to a cheaper area in PA instead of NYC. But nope!

There's talk of them closing down Everett and London, and then moving the Pittsburgh employees to a smaller building. Seriously: what logical sense is there in demanding more people show up to the office, yet paradoxically shrinking office space? It boggles the mind.

Oh, and India is still a "strategic growth center" despite being an active warzone as of yesterday, hahahaha.
