Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Latest Peakon Survey is out

Can’t wait for everyone to explain how miserable they are at this bank and how RV and his cronies care about us but will continue to do nothing when we have the opportunity to speak up about it

I’ve gotten messages from management saying make sure you fill these out when you’re in a good mood.

And multiple reminders that eight and above are good ratings

if they want me to fill it out, I’m gonna do it honestly and basically all of my ratings are two or less

I deleted the last email so I didn’t see the blurb you mentioned. Well, now it makes sense why it is included on my goals that I am required to reply to all Peakon surveys. My manager knows it’s me based on my comments but that’s fine with me. However, at the time I asked if they’re anonymous then how can it be a goal? And we also got the same spiel about ratings of 9-10 are positive, 7-8 doesn’t show up, and 6 and below are negative. Basically saying we only want positive ratings. Also don’t care. I will give negative on the questions I feel are appropriate to do so.

@g3+1jwtzcfwz this one is for you...

The iconic "I will find you" quote from Liam Neeson's character, Bryan Mills, in the movie "Taken" (2008) is a threat delivered with a calm, menacing tone. The full quote is: "If you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will PIP you,"

Are there implications for not filling up the survey?

Interesting. And I’m happy to hear Poor ratings Look bad for management because I blast them.

Also explains why our management team continually tells us to please answer the surveys when you’re in a good mood

@bn+1jwtzcfwz yup! I feel like we may have served under the same management team at one time!
I always loved those loaded Peakon statements like: I feel like I can make friends here at BNY! Or "I can speak up without being in fear of any retaliation.

We frontline managers had to coach our teams on how to answer survey statements with at or above 7 ratings. Anything below 7 lit up the senior management dashboards in red. That looked bad for our upper management overlords (and queens.) In kind, those low rating where whipsawed down to the frontline managers who unjustly brunt the burden of the blame for all the operational/ corporate su-k.

There is nothing genuine or organic about Peakon improving corporate culture. True team culture is only accomplished with hands on leadership, boots on the ground training, and a cohesive group of people that work together/ trust one another. That culture was ki-led off years ago for the new WEF corporate banking/ employee team models.

I truly miss the many people I was lucky enough to have under my leadership. We actively taught one another about manager/ employee expectations and acted upon them to build effective teams that are now just folklore at BNY. Continue to live small- dream big my people! Peace!

They should just leave the 'ak' out of it and call them what they are - Peon surveys.

Don’t be stupid @bh+1jwtzcfwz
The poster means that they are using lies, spam and nonsense from these forced surveys to say they are doing a good job.
It’s all a lie!

If management is still using the Peakon tool, you are all in deeper p-o than you realize.

I’ll wait until September when we’re back 4 days. Although, I’m looking for a new opportunity and hope I’ll be gone by then!

Filled mine in and was brutally honest. I couldn't care less if they match it to my personal information, and I'm hoping it DOES get to senior management.

Did you see the blurb at the bottom of the email? It says that responses will now be matched to personal information. It says it’s effective as of May 31 2024. I don’t recall ever seeing that message on previous survey emails. Were they collecting information on us since last year without disclosure??

The first question I had to answer was HOW LILELY IS IT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND BNY AS A PLACE TO Work?

Really, I would have a lot of enemies

These surveys are useless garbage and framed so that the place is never made to really be that bad. Worst decision I ever made was accepting a position here.

Light that shyt up cause sr mgmt absolutely reviews it and will like, respond or comment to you . Probably just part of a requirement but they still do it

But wait, aren't the Peakon survey responses anonymous? So much for confidentiality.

Suppose Managers will now encourage more HONEST survey feedback and engaging dialog now that they are pinned with resolving problems their associates are reporting?

Doubt it. Another non-productive twitching exercise.

That whole system seems weird, it holds the manager responsible personally for the answers given?
