BNY CEO Robin Vince on Embracing AI and Navigating Uncertainty

The love affair with AI will only result in major layoffs and a lot of problems down the line. Mark my words.

AI is not ready to replace workers; there are a lot of processes that still need monkeys...I mean humans, to do. Lots of data entry, macros building, and other nuanced processes that will make AI impossible to do by itself. This is why I think it's just in vogue, just like cryptocurrencies, learn-to-code, and whatever the marketing people think is cool with the kids nowadays. AI is just today's narrative to lay off people and sell the idea to investors to inflate the stock.

@b1 you and me both! Just terminate me with cause already. This slow burn PIP torture is cruel and inhumane. I am no longer wanted here, nor do I want to be here.

@cq The jannies on this board are the worst. They are worse than Reddit mods. Fun fact: there's a word censor for P-O-M, so you need to add dashes in it otherwise it gets censored. Your guess is as good as mine.

I see they deleted my post all because I mentioned certain Dictators, despots, maniacs and criminals that TIME magazine seems to adore and do exclusives on. Well, if they are enamored of Robin then it shows how hurting for demagogue material they are. And yes, Robin probably laid off the Keebler Elves and had the Peoples socialist control team hire Oompa Loompas from Loompa land to do the needful instead.

To the poster below, they are already using the keebler elf method, all our teams are at least half offshore third party contractors and can’t be staffed with FTEs alone…. Because there are so few FTEs left for the amount of work

They are counting on it and are looking forward to more cuts. Unfortunately this is just a bottom tier company and a worse time to be in it. Im hoping to be out soon
