Not Completing Employee Survey Questions Management's Priorities

It felt good not completing the survey for the first time in almost 25 years working at BOA. Making a little over two dollars an hour more than starting wage at BOA, it is insulting that upper management would send reminder emails on completing the survey. However, no responses to why tenure employees are getting sc--wed on their salary when minimum wage is increased one dollar each year with the final increase this fall. After the increase in the fall, my salary will be a buck more than minimum wage representing almost 25 years of service. Manager's response was more projects to be assigned. I want to thank some of the posters on this forum for your advice. Not doing the survey sure made the point about management's priorities. Quiet quitting is now being considered as I will not be considered for layoff.

In my 20+ years here I was never pushed to complete the survey or set goals for midyear and end of year reviews. I changed departments 3 years ago and now I am hounded to do the survey and record goals. This place is so confusing at times.

No feedback from me either. Why? Why waste the effort when (a) we all know it produces nothing in return and (b), absolutely ignores the top complaint…our compensation. What’s the point?

25 years here and didn’t complete it this year after getting a zero percent increase. They get a zero from me.

@fk+1jy1wdnrt OP is not alone with this concern. Many tenure employees feel the same way at BOA. The problem with your response is that you are part of the problem. You can continue filling out the surveys and allow yourself to be selfish and self-absorbed.

Didn’t fill it out either. Much fewer years of service but after several years of ‘thoughtful’ participation in the survey, this year I decided it wasn’t worth my time. Won’t matter either but at least I found some satisfaction in not doing it and a way to “speak up” without saying anything at all.

Oh, now that you've skipped out. You can see the impact of the scores and compare them year over year. It typically gets worse when majority of the team are tenured. There is a ray of light when huge turn over occurs because the new folks have no idea about the circus show they joined. 🫠 It repeats the process and leadership counts that as progress. 😏

I’m really sorry to hear that is happening.

I didn’t open it this year to even consider if I’ll take it. Our GT executive and management had repeated calls with us to explain it and remind us to take it. It was important to them clearly. But getting passed over for a promotion after 3 years of hard earned exceeds and successfully completing every random assignment they could throw at me in addition to my regular work, my silence was my way of saying FU back. I love how my management regularly tells me I’m awesome…too bad that doesn’t pay my bills.
