The moderators of the site are very arbitrary in their decisions. I’ve had posts taken down that do not violate any of these rules yet 42 constantly post nonsense most of which is completely false on here and none of it gets deleted.
Short version of the site’s content rules (copy-paste from one of the previous posts here):
- no excessive use of foul language
- no threats & violence, bullying, slandering
- no personal names /initials (ok to name c-suits as they are public figures, not ok to name a middle manager or an employee)
- no personal info of any kind (regardless of one’s position)
- no racial/ethnic slurs
- no offtopics - political, religious rants etc
- no asking for votes (of any kind - political, union, etc)
Site mods usually just delete the post in violation, but sometimes they put you on blacklist/block you from posting any further (can be skipped by using VPN).

The content rules are posted at the bottom of every page.
Over the years, we see people complaining about comments/posts being deleted, and almost always (as far as I know) it was for a violation.
I think a lot of the time it’s because someone was putting a name or some other identifying info in a post or comment. Sometimes this gets caught and removed, sometimes it doesn’t. I’d also bet the level of anonymity you use affects what, if it’s caught, will happen. For ex. Maybe an initial might not get flagged, but mentioning a name or a specific department and referencing the MD that runs it, but no name, might be enough for removal. Who knows.
I highly doubt there is anything BNY can do to moderate the content here. This entire site is damaging in theory to the various companies that have active boards on this site; if they could moderate it, they would remove a lot more than a happenstance post once in a while that mentions a name. Those are hardly the worst posts from the perspective of the company. I know you’re looking for a conspiracy but I’d bet the truth is far less interesting, and the post probably got auto flagged because it breaks this website’s rules. It has nothing to to with the perceived fragility of the person in question’s ego.

No one said it was a first amendment thing. I just find it interesting that someone at her level is so sensitive and has the pull to have posts removed from a non-company site. She can name drop all day long but she can’t take the heat that someone at her level can expect.
Did some AI digging and learned that in the U.S., the First Amendment protects individuals from government censorship—but it doesn’t apply to private companies, including independent third-party websites. That means platforms like social media sites or financial forums can legally moderate, remove, or restrict content—even opinions about publicly traded companies—based on their own terms of service.
In fact, the U.S. Supreme Court recently affirmed that internet platforms themselves have First Amendment rights to make editorial decisions about the content they host. In Moody v. NetChoice and NetChoice v. Paxton, the Court held that these platforms can choose what to allow or remove, just like a newspaper can decide which letters to the editor to publish.
So while it may feel like censorship, it’s not a violation of constitutional free speech unless the government is involved in the suppression.

This board has been heavily monitored and cleared quickly lately. Seems some posts were too accurate, but they don’t like names being posted they’ll usually moderate those posts
