July 4th week in-house requirement

Hi does anyone know in Global Ops are they expecting us to be compliant with in office required days for this July 4th week? I heard some teams being told yes no exception and some are being told 2 days will be fine.

In the U.S. (at least), ignore Federal holiday weeks.

It's grayed out on the dashboard, so we cannot even see it.

(and are glad to have a week where we do not need to enter/acknowledge it)

So, take the week and enjoy!

(you give BofA credit for better tracking than they really have) :-D

P.S. and if for some bizarre reason you get called on it, just exclaim, "Oh, my bad. I thought you Mr/Ms/They Manager told us Federal Holiday weeks were Exempt. Is that not true anymore?"

They truly have no way of knowing unless they sit right next to you every day.

My MO for not tracked holiday weeks is don't ask/don't tell (manager is in a different state). It never came up in a conversation since tracking began so will leave it alone. Also, skip office on weeks with 3 days off in workday entered.

@ee ...It doesn't surprise me at all about HR/Employee Relations because the bottom line is that NO ONE in management has the ba--s to put exceptions down in writing for ALL employees to know when there is a bank observed holiday when the in office rule minimum requirement is not counted. In my opinion ANY bank observed holiday during the week should be an exception just let employees work 2 days in the damn office and 2 remotely when a bank observed holiday falls on a weekday. It seems so damn simple but since we seem to have more senior leaders that are Pu$$y than with ba--s. LMAO

The worst thing is when I reached out to HR/Employee relations. They were so hesitant about this policy and acknowledged that this was a gray area.

I agree with inconsistencies of enforcing rules. The workplace excellence dashboard exception should be the SAME through the corporation even for those who may be required to be in the office 5 days a week.

I wonder if any teams in Global Operations received this week's exception in writing or verbal.

And then you have departments like mine where we could work remote but can only work from home 5 days a month. The people we support are all across the country.

This is the problem. This week is not tracked in the "Workplace Excellence" dashboard. However some mangers, for some reason, refuse to tell their staff this. Are they that desperate for brownie points with their bosses?

We've seen this scenario many times. End of year, every other team on our floor (at 2BP) are told to WFH the last two weeks as they are not tracked. However, our Director still demands that everyone comes to the office - although he doesn't, of course.
