@jw Not sure why this post is being downvoted, it’s meant to be sincere advice. I sent a request for my employee file shortly after getting RIF’d to show future employers that despite having a gap in employment due to a ‘layoff’, I received good reviews, promotions, etc during my long tenure with BNY. BNY is refusing to give me access to my files because I am no longer an employee.

Managers offer packages to certain individuals only. They actually postpone packages two and three times for a particular person while letting others leave or just get fired. What a.Sh*t show. Yes I am angry because I was on the losing end. Managers playing with peoples lives should be terminated along with the managing directors who are aware of it happening!

BNY has HR policies which require them to provide access to personnel files to current employees. Check them out.

We may reduce FTEs in the US and UK by 5% but Dermie’s head will expand 27%
Eliza- How many new BNY corporate pillars will be needed to support that head and continue p—o—m waste production at the same time?

@f3 easy there boomer, you might have a stroke. ANYWAYS the time off given to us is not relaxing when we know we have to go back to this hellhole of a “bank”. Sick days are a blessing. We aren’t adequately paid with this high rate of inflation. The extra “bonus” at the end of the year doesn’t even cover the cost of being in office. So why would I enjoy coming in, having to hear brandy talk about her problems, and then go home and have to deal with making dinner on top of the stress from the mental gymnastics we go through everyday just to maybe save $100 per pay when everything else gets eaten up by the rest of my bills? How am I expected to live a life like that the rest of my life and then to get anywhere on top of that? My wife and I can’t have kids because we KNOW we can’t support it with this bs of a job. The job market su-ks so really the only option is to take on more loans to go back to school into a different field. You’re the problem so take your comment and shove it up you a**

@e9 If you are in New York there are no laws forcing companies to provide files to employees

The business environment is not good. Two more fiascos are here. The Digital expansion has failed totally. The caution from the previous risk managers should have been heeded but they mindlessly tried to expand. The risk managers expressing caution were fired including the CRO. Now the inept new crew is still singing a song that is cacophony.

The second fiasco is in our main breadwinner - asset servicing where the clients are sick and tired of daily sc--wups, delays and disasters. The money is just not there .

In the meanwhile Robin and crew continued to tour the silly summer gifts and free coffee as the way for BNY to reclaim its top spot.

Top Spot? When was it even in the top 10 let along a top spot?

Just another fraction of 1%. Why don’t you people educate yourselves. I lay it out every day for you. Check out Yahoo Finance and you’ll be forced to open your eyes.

@Op

Of course you meant 5 percent layoff, not 5 percent locked in precincts. Actually, you probably meant that. Allow me to guess… University of Phoenix graduate in basket weaving?

@ey children…. Why not try working for a full day and weekend rather than stealing time from your employer. I swear you all are the biggest thieves of time and money which I’ve ever seen.

You will never succeed anywhere after stealing your employer blind on the time clock and sc--wing off at the office.

Theyre going to keep doing this cause they want 800 cuts by end of year. How else are they going to show progress or in the good cause its not with new business or actual earnings. They should get hefty fines for being deceptive about how well they are doing

Make sn HR request to get a ckpy of your personnel file. Once you’re terminated you can’t get access to it.
