B4 / NYC (HCOL)
210k base
25k cash bonus
20k stock award (20 per year for 3 years)
Honestly the B3/B4 pay at this bank is very low compared to peer companies but the fact B5s makes peanuts is keeping the B3/B4 happy. Every time a thread like this comes up I imagine that's the reaction. My wife makes 200k + 40k bonus at a rival bank at a level similar to a SVP B5 here while their directors and senior directors easily top 300k. I'm here as a lowly B5 making 145k but I'm content with the mediocrity.
@4t
same here have been with bofa > 20 years, started base pay $60k and now B5 with $140k. now I only get $1000 pay increase every year with bonus < $2000
was told by my manager my salary is “too high in the band”
WTF
I left 2 years ago due to the ridiculous culture and horrible leadership. I was a B5 hired in 2019 at $115000 with a 10k bonus in 2020. I was told my bonus would never decrease which was a huge lie. Over the 4 years I was there, my salary only went up 3k bc I was “too high in the band” and my bonus decreased to $7500 each year after the first one. Get out if you can and find better pay/culture. I still have PTSD from that place.

Things often look more attractive from a distance than up close. Don’t spend more than two years in the same role or company, changing positions regularly is the fastest path to growth and higher pay.
B3
$200k salary
$75k cash bonus
$25k (ish) bonus in RSUs
$12k Sharing Success RSUs
My advice to all of you: Take a Negotiation Class.
Best investment I ever made. Seriously.
Female who out-earns her white male peers. (If that makes a difference)
I quit a year ago but was B4 at $170 ($150/$20). My bonus was $25K 20 years ago but I only got it twice. Got 3-4% annual raises but never increase in bonus
B5 in GT, Florida. $148k, <$4 bonus with exceeds.
B4, $176k, $30k bonus (midwest)
Band 5, 95k salary and variable bonus.
B4's and higher always get big fat salary + bonus pool
When I left for a much higher salary I was B4 @ $200k base/$30k bonus
B5 90k plus 4-6k bonus. Global marketing 11 years. Raises are minimal and I think they rotate who gets one each year. It’s definitely not a yearly increase, but bonuses have been consistent albeit less each year.
Band 6 at gross salary of $52k per year. I've been here for about 3 years.
Most recent raise was 2.249%. Raise before that was 1.747%. Not that I'm keeping track.
On an unrelated note, inflation for 2024 was 2.4%, 2023 was 4.1%, and 2022 was 6.5%.
AI .... "A Bank of America Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Band 5) in the Western US can expect a total pay range of $101K to $140K per year, including base salary and additional pay, according to Glassdoor."
Forget Bands... just go for the money. I'd love to hit that 140k mark... maybe someday soon.
big lies about salaries
Band 6, 60k no bonus
So far i've learned I am underpaid as a B5
B5. 19 years. Home loans. $105k. $5000 bonus. Same for both since 2021 when I got a <2% increase. Bonus used to be more. Insurance goes up every year. :( I want the sabbatical next year but when the market picks back up I’m out.
214,468 . No hike since last 2 years. 2% bonus.
B5 / 121k / 25 yrs. Zero increase last year. $5k bonus.
About $10k more than @tt when I retired. Software developer in SoCalif. My job fit the L4 definition better than L5.
@tt what area did you work in?
I was a band 5 before my promotion last year and was making $120k plus 6k bonus.
The last salary scale I saw was in 2020 and band 5 topped out at $108k.
B5...116k base..."bonus" (if you could even call it that) would be 2-3k
Band 6 with 25+ years at BOA. As my group dwindles in size, my responsibilities increased. However, my pay is now $2.29 above the BOA minimum wage. This fall after another dollar increase, it will be $1.29 above. Pathetic especially at my age working at BOA. Now, my calendar is marked off when I provide notice to retire (quit). I will give the same respect that I got, none... 2 months notice as I was told...Nope. 2 weeks notice...I do not think so. Oh, by the way...no bonus.
Now, after reading the salary info posted on this thread I have to ask myself why customers call my number asking questions about forms with legal and IRS concerns. I am not qualified or paid enough to support those questions. I will have to defer those questions to people above my level. Brian, what is your personal number?
I never got bonus or raise in 4 years.
250k. Came from outside. You internal movers are sc--wed lol.
@ag apparently I’m in the wrong place!
B5/ 90K/ 3K bonus and 1.5% merit for 2025
@e8 damn what area do you work in?
Band 7 - $89k (no bonuses)
B5/27 years/87k ?? in this economy??You are kidding
Better you find a job elsewhere RIGHT NOW, DO IT
@OP Also band 5 at 87k salary and 3k bonus. However my group hasn’t received any merit increases in 3 years which clearly stinks. I am in EIT and with BAC 27 years.
199,985K but ive only been here for 2 yrs
