Notice period - Director level

Anyone have experience leaving BNY for another opportunity and having to serve out the full 2 months notice period for a Director?

Would strongly prefer to only give 3-4 weeks max, but not sure if there would be legal issues. Or is the 2 month notice period what's preferred, but not mandated? i.e. there's flexibility case-by-case

@ag you will lose unvested stock options, possibly be put on the do not rehire list.

M Level directors are 60 days. I provided less notice and am on the “do not rehire list” according to my former manager. After reading this site I wouldn’t go back anyway. I was not awarded my bonus since my notice was given before the 2024 bonus payout even though I had worked the full year. I don’t know if they will try to claw back anything bonus related but I would give notice and schedule all of your vacation/sick days etc to try to make up the difference unless you just don’t care.

When I was promoted to director nearly four years ago, I got the normal 2% raise. I was annoyed. I was still within the previous band I had been in. So when the three day per week thing kicked in, it was actually a detriment to having gotten the "promotion."

Just miss your in office requirements and let them fire you, it’s a lot faster and less painful for you!

Why don’t you give your honest opinion what’s going on ? You must have a lot of knowledge??

Realistically what can they do if you leave before your notice period?
