I am curious about a situation I recently experienced.
A few months ago, my management staff placed me on a Performance Improvement Plan. During our initial meeting, there was no discussion regarding specific actions I could take to enhance my performance. After four months, I was removed from my position due to poor job performance. At no point during the four months, between my write-up and my removal from the building, was there a follow-up meeting to address how I could improve my performance.
Is this typical?
