Not all org charts have been edited, but a few of the Nick teams have been significantly rearranged.

@dd I've had people missing and orphaned on the list for months now. And I know they are not on the list. Slacks org function is not accurate and not a source of truth.
I’ve noticed people I work with are now orphaned in Slack. I really hope there is another explanation for this besides being one of those impacted.
@dd My personal experience with the Slack org chart is that it's not too reliable. It's been this way for months - at least on the departments and teams I chat with on a regular basis.
@d6 it certainly has not been that way for weeks. I looked at it Wednesday to grab someone’s phone number. Then went back Thursday and the org was totally split into two separate groups.
@d6 just being wonky is not sufficient to explain away why the principal level ICs are predominantly selected to be orphaned in the org chart.
This is just AD and Slack being fu--ing wonky, it's been like that for weeks. Not at all reflective of the layoffs
I'm missing one of my leads on the slack org chart but he is there on SuccessFactors.
I think we may be jumping to conclusions because JT on AG’s team is also orphaned on Slack, and JT was literally just hired 2 months ago.
@ch If there is a benign explanation, expect that to be posted here soon. Someone who has God access to AD would know. If there is no clarification given, I am going to assume that someone made some HR changes and not realizing that Slack uses that record for org chart. A big OOOPS.
Also, our principal (EVP) is orphaned, but there are also people on his team no longer on his Slack org chart. What could that possibly mean?
@cg Not seeing this in Outlook either. Could there be some other explanation?
@ce good question. Someone mentioned that Slack org is based on AD, but I don't see anything in AD that might have caused this, but of course my AD access is limited. At the same time why would Slack org chart suddenly differs from Murray? They were practically identical just a few days ago.
Wtf I'm one of these individuals
If this is really the case, then why would opt-ins still be on the Slack org chart?
In addition to many principals, i also noticed others who are no longer showing manager affiliations.
Could it be true that this is an indication of people who are on the List?
Jesus Christ lol fu--ing id--ts
Will they address the elephant in the room, or pretend like nothing happened until 28th? Might as well send people the emails now and tell them that they have a heads up until the end of month
@by Seeing the same thing my team. The Principals are showing no manager and it wasn't like that a few days ago.
hmm interesting. I noticed several people at "principal" level who are now orphaned, i.e. not listed under any managers in Slack profile. They used to have manager listed in the profile and if you look now at their org chart, they are not in it.
If the target is cost savings, it kind of makes sense to let go the people at principal level, who are likely highly paid individuals. But they also usually have been around a long time and know where all the bodies are.
Did they leak who got laid off?
@a6 Sure, but I specifically mentioned there are teams I saw at whose orgs did NOT change on Slack. I'm just referencing my own team specifically.
@a8 I hear you, but if that's true why did my team's org chart substantially change in the last day?
Sorry but going onto slack is too much work and my team doesn’t even use it. Not worth checking unless it has my exit notice in it
@OP Slack data comes from AD, that is not updated. Go into Success Factors and look up the ORG chart. That is the HR system, not Slack
Checked my team on Slack and org chart hasn’t changed, however, I don’t want to assume anything at this point. Did notice some other departments have members whose profiles stop at their names though…
