No they aren’t. It’s 3%. What’s wrong with you people? What is the fun in scaring people needlessly?
I hope that they find my desk drawer of personal items, including $250 of electronics, that I lost during COVID.
Management setting an egg timer in the background
after 5 minutes, Ding! Your times up
Haven't gotten any notice about where to be on Tuesday.
@1hcs WSJ says 3%, it's unlikely that it'll be much more than that.
Yes, they are cutting 10% staff across the entire company on Tuesday and they want to minimize the impact to other people as much as possible including seeing other people being laid off as well as being laid off yourself and taking time in person to conduct those meetings and deal with the tears and repercussions afterward. They want to do the layoffs by phone and make them short and sweet to get through as many as possible so that they don't have to drag this out through the end of the month...
Take a sudden vacation and don’t reply to emails or calls until you come back if you think you’re on the naughty list. During your vacation look for a job.
Would love to know the genius HR person/braintrust who came up with the idea to email an entire building not to come in on same day as well-known layoffs (coming from same HR department rewuiring employees to come into office). Probably same person who thought they could sneak in 401k match only at year end and no one would notice. That person has upper management written all over her.
Last time they told people to go home and take their personal belongings, the site was either being sold, or the people who got the email were getting cut.
I got plenty to do at work: binge watch tons of shows on Netflix and Prime along with a few movies 🤪
You guys do nothing at work and have time to visit this website? ( like me lol)
It was just a shower, they said. shame on you all!
What team are you in that they asked you to work from home. I am in oriskany and we have not been told that.
More like a deep clean by management...
We were told to not come in on Tuesday and take home personal belongings because there will be a deep clean by the maintenance department. So, much ado about nothing- they are merely cleaning on Tuesday.
During our staff meeting this week it was suggested we all work from home Tuesday but we were not told we needed to make up for it another day. Our teams are based in Oriskany, Pittsburgh, Everett, Lake Mary.
Layoffs on Tuesday
Haven't seen anything about staying home. But...yesterday, I received an email demanding staff proficiency scores/rankings to be sent back by noon today. This was sent to the entire FA management org. While this may very well be the usual frivolous fire drill (not to mention names should have been decided long ago), it is curious.. and I also wouldn't be surprised if management is only now getting around to it. Who knows....
Which location ?
Comical that they’re still pushing for you to come in a different day then. Gotta collaborate your two days each week and have those important water cooler conversations.
Yes, plenty of people were told to stay home and make up their day another time.
