We are not viewed as humans. We're widgets who will be replaced by AI as soon as possible. For roles that need a human still, cutbacks with no communication will continue as SOP.

I really HATE this new leadership. How can they let go of so many important people within VUE I’ll never understand.

This a joke. They are getting rid of good quality people to save money. It’s disgraceful. I would have never stayed as long as I did If I knew this is how the operated.

@7x2 it really is disappointing how they treat vue as a division. We are the most profitable and make the most revenue but guarantee get paid less than other divisions. Honestly we need to make it a priority to get out as soon as possible

@6x8 It's offensive that staff is paid so little but there can be big investment in fancy new cameras and an entire team in India to monitor the low paid workers.

Firing people and keeping workers constantly uneasy is going to backfire. The job struggles to retain workers now and the majority of employees are doing it to keep busy, and make minor pocket money so walking away is an option. Finding an endless supply of replacements is going to be difficult.

Yeah. Figures that these steps are going to take a while to implement. It sounds like this isn’t even going to be implemented to all of the centers after the trial phase.

I’m not sure what the company is aiming for here. Being careful is one thing, but creating a hire ‘em and fire ‘em environment doesn’t work. Quite a few centers have high turnover as it is. How is creating more turnover going to lead to better results?

They are assembling the team in India now and investing large amounts of money in better, more precise cameras. The active surveillance will be rolled out across centers. It won't come all at once.

Does anyone know if the active surveillance is already taking place? It has been several months since the changes were announced.

Wands will be in addition to pat downs. Two types of wands and the regular pat down.
Yes. The centers are already recorded but this is a team to actively watch and look for missteps.

@1dy I understand the use of security wands on students. nobody enjoys pat-downs. But aren’t test centres already monitored by CCTV?

Test centers are going to begin using wands on test takers just like TSA. The test center employees will be watched remotely by camera from India while this is happening. Reports of employees not in complete compliance will be made with write ups & terminations to follow.

The surveillance team will be people desperate for a job reporting on low wage employees for any misstep.
