Has anyone heard whether there will be layoffs at Global?

I'm sure our new CEO has many plans to make people miserable through the company. Anytime I see his picture it just makes me think evil. His fake smile and dead eyes makes me know we are in for some BS.
Scrimshaw, what competitors are you referring to? Here in Florida, one of the largest competitors is Publix, and you can certainly make much more than $24 an hour as a department manager there.
im really suprised that since the advent of OTS,the wall of clipboards,downloaded from regional merchandising maps,kronos robot scheduling and computerized time and attendance tracking that amazon hasnt reconfigure the TL position to make the pay more in line with what our competitors pay for team managers--like 24$ per hour....team leaders who openly pushed and cheerleaded for the above programs you should have foreseen the writing of the militant(ots) technocracy.....
The TL role is useful on some teams all depends on the store. The ASTLs on the other hand though are just over paid shiftys in allot of locations.
Get rid off those expensive TL making $$$35-40 an hour they are good for nothing and give team members raises

I look forward to shopping the store when the teams audit themselves. They already can't keep up with tag maintenance or staffing for the work they are currently doing. Even if they axe the position it will just come back again like when they got rid of ISE and now we are all getting Store trainers.
SSS and SSI aren't "global," but the STSSes sure are/were. They're gonna create a new team with fewer positions and higher requirements and play musical chairs.

i wonder if they hate their jobs as much as WF employees at all levels in the store. our ASTL openly talks sht about the company with everyone else, only time he even works anymore is when everclean is coming lol
They’ve restructured the category merchants and workforce planning teams already. CM’s twice this year. I’d think some more restructuring will happen in the coming months, that’s how they’ll weed em out.
No but hopefully, they all should go.
