Honeywell’s “Tuesday Pattern” Strikes Again

Welp… looks like another Tuesday is about to get interesting at Honeywell.
According to some around various teams, something big is set to drop—and yes, it lines up with Honeywell’s not-so-secret tradition of choosing Tuesdays for major shake-ups. (Because apparently nothing says “good morning” like a mid-week panic.)

Insiders are whispering that layoffs could be announced as early as Tuesday morning, with multiple groups bracing for impact. No official word yet, but the timing alone is raising eyebrows—this always seems to happen on a Tuesday, doesn’t it? Especially before Christmas.

Happening today, I hear multiple people have 7:30 am meetings with "tag up" subject on calendars. Get you out before 12/12 = no 401K match for you!

I agree with that one person. They’ll have these RIF before the deadline where they have to pay bonuses. They’ll definitely do it before they have to pay out the 401(k) match.

Drink Kool-Aid. They want their bonus. They also want their 401(k) match. We know that, so it worked really hard. Then Honeywell, we’ll get ready before that bonus payout date. No 401(k) match.

However, you’re still a future shaper. Your future will be somewhere else.

Soooooo.... the back log of work must be way higher that the 401k payout next spring, otherwise they would or maybe still will layoff the "low hanging fruit" before Friday. If your employed on 12/15 you qualify for the annual payout. Hmmm, What does Elliot Management got programmed for us next year? Oh that's right, 2/3rds of the Conglomerate are being divested. This must mean the terms of the split probable say something like you can't cut heads until the new companies are spun off and then whack a mole begins! Keep playing your Left vs Right (SPY vs SPY) Culture War as the Ownership class sneaks the wallet/purse from your person! Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year HR!

By the way. Me again.

They’ll probably wait until the last possible minute to get the most work out of here. they’ll do it December 23, 2025.

My guess is at 1:45 p.m. they’ll be walking people out the door. Then after Christmas break. We’ll be talking about it.

Not false yet. Could be announced. Definition: used to indicate possibility.

We still have 10 working days. So Honeywell could throw something out before that date, if we may get past Christmas, then this post was wrong.

I’m hoping it’s aerospace. These people think it’s Business as usual. Nothing‘s gonna change. Maybe, this is why our shareholder value never goes up.

They also think Minnesota Minneapolis is immune from all this.

Honeywell like many large companies prefer RIFs right before Christmas so they don’t have to pay holiday pay (Christmas and New Year) and there is a two week waiting period for unemployment, they get out of paying into the unemployment benefits. As an added bonus, it boosts their year end profitability to stay in the good graces of shareholders. They wonder why people are dissatisfied with the company.
