@ykg STP and MAP. Hopefully this is it for a bit. We already run quite lean. If they keep cutting, innovation and production will just slow even more. Plus moral and trust has been damaged now. I've invested 18 years of my life into this place. I can't work for a place I can't trust. They better start being more upfront.

@ykh wow thank you for clarifying and I hope things work out for you. We haven’t heard anything so it’s only a matter of time for us too.

@ykd I was told this was global but it may vary in timelines etc due to differences in local labor laws

@ykf yes definitely, it’s even harder when everything was like normal. Unlike here in Ireland I don’t there would be a lot of shock as so many people even management have been saying for awhile that there’s definitely something going on. I’m really sorry for you, it’s not easy especially when it’s out of left field. Do you mind me asking what location are ye in?

@ykd Its been business as usual with new CEA's being spun up and all sorts of activity. This really hit me out of left field. Really bizarre. It would of helped to know that there was actual trouble, but on the last all hands meeting everything seems normal. I know we had some hurdles, but nothing that would have indicated instability like this. Lots of secrets on the backend I guess.

@ykc oh jeez, that doesn’t sound good at all. We’re hearing rumours here in Ireland that there will be lay off here too but it’s hard to know what’s going on. Business has been very quiet for a long time. I don’t know has it been the same over there aswell? All areas don’t seem to be busy from talking to people in different areas.

@yka Sounds like everything was impacted from what I can tell. (R&D, manufacturing, ME's, floors tech's, etc) All across multiple business units. Nobody really knows the entire scope at the moment, but a lot of people seem to be missing. Still trying to wade though it all. -All managers got was a heads up, and then an all clear. They didn't even know if they were on the list themselves. I still have no idea what they based this off of or how it was determined (and probably never will, sadly)

@yk9 I’m very sorry to hear that, that’s really bad when management didn’t know how to handle it. They more than likely just found out before ye did. Was there production lay offs aswell?

Confirmed layoffs on 7/23/26. Many teams affected, including mine. For the first time in over a decade I've actually lost trust in my workplace. No notice or anything. They just did it without a word then held meetings afterwards with no real substance or information. (managers didn't even know what to say) Handled very poorly. Moral is very low at the moment.

I know multiple divisions roles eliminated at the new Arbor Lakes Minnesota campus were impacted, I have only heard about ICVT and PI.

Just heard from my colleague they laid off a ton of people. Seems pretty spread out, not just a single division type. Came from Mike Mahoney

Those employees from Penumbra and Valencia Tech who were laid off by Boston Scientific are very likely to be laid off again by Boston Scientific... Gosh! their company motto is "Advancing science for life" but they destroy their employees lives...How Ironic!

Boston Scientific announced to acquire Valencia technologies on 01/12 and announced to acquire Penumbra on 12/15...Based on their track record, they will undergo restructuring, layoffs, and the closure of sites. This is bad news for the employees of the acquired company. Good Luck!
