Got confirmation from my Director today that there will be layoffs next month, mostly mid March and she says she has no idea who will impacted(which I think is a lie).

Its important to remeber:
Download pay stubs.
Download employee reviews.

If you are in the US(federal law) and 40+
You have 21 days to review and accept or decline a severance package.
Even if you accept it, you have 7 days to revoke it.
Research OWBPA.

Get a lawyer involved to negotiate your severance for you. You will get alot more.
TU will settle.

Across regions is a new clue so not just US???

I hear conflicting statements from different directors. Some say its put on hold, some says march layoff will affect everyone across regions, major in India. Seems quite a joke at this point to be honest. They moved the roles to India to save cost and now gutting them. Most of the teams are already running with far fewer members in India as well. Real talents are already gone.

@OP Who's left? If you work in tech or HR. Well HR is needed to do the layoffs since directors only on the phone with you for a couple minutes. Remember all that work, time you didn't spend with you family members or friends the director will give you 2 minutes saying thanks for your time.

They need to get rid of some managers, team leads and directors. You don't need that many people running things or not doing anything.

Something should be coming at big scale across regions by end of March.

@OP TU already loss a lot of great people in the organization. People who cared about the jobs, the projects and business strategy is to make more cuts? CC should resign he destroyed what was a great company to work for. These board members are a joke most of them are dot heads.

@132: Thanks, but the hub doesn't even exist anymore. It was replaced with the cr-ppy Loop. And I've searched the Loop high and low and don't see anything about severance packages.

Will there be really layoffs again next month? Are the rumors true?

@12g severance info is and always has been readily available on the ole Hub. It details payout for years of service + rank. For example, 1 week per year of service + x additional weeks for your level.

TO: @qe: RE: "Unfortunately, severance won't be as good. Funds are drained and severance plans have been rewritten. Updated publication forthcoming."

Can you provide any proof of this? What publication is forthcoming exactly? I don't recall any publication ever regarding what severance packages will be IF you get laid off. Why would they publicize this information? Lastly, "Won't be as good" as what exactly?

What are the only two things a ceo is responsible for? Setting strategy and putting the right people in place to execute it. His strategy is making one disjointed and disastrous acquisition after another. And then leaving a complete fool in charge of product innovation. He failed on both counts. What a disaster. It’s a complete disgrace that he’s still here

This place has been in steady decline since CC took over as CEO. Covid only accelerated the problems, and the Neustar acquisition drained what little morale remained. The 2023 mass layoffs in the U.S. effectively put an end to anything that once felt promising.
