@d4 Modem used to be a lean and efficient cheetah. Now it has become a swamp-dwelling buffalo. There are many almost shadow sub-teams within the modem microcosm. They keep pilfering on share-holder's money by getting funding in the name of 'strategic investment' year after year. You will find one such shadow team in almost every geography. Can't say more here. Just look around. Those strategic investments could be laid off overnight and not a needle would move.

QCOM engineers are so advanced. They are skipping 6G and going directly to 7G.

NOTE: I think the 3GPP standards body has outlived its usefulness.

CEO and CFO and C suite leadership will do whatever it takes to not bring in new blood. They are corrupt and have no vision. Board of Directors must take action to remove. Start with CFO- his incompetence and nepotism is an embarrassment.

QCOM's next CEO should be from the outside. The old modem people who were overpromoted aren't qualified to turn the ship around ... assuming that the ship can be turned around. My guess is that QCOM is headed for the dustbin of history like Sun Microsystems, DEC, etc.

@OP A Senior Director at Qcom takes 1Million dollars total compensation. Just think about it and see people around do they really deserve that much $% ...atleast in RFIC I see KS buddies doing nothing to get paid this just for partying privately...if you are Senior or Staff don't ki-l yourself as you are feeding them champagne...

Q doesn't have talent to pull off an AI product, stick to handset , snapdragon laptops are a joke

QC missed the AI opportunity by not replacing JT and now current CTO has no clue. They take care of each other and sc--w the company and employees. What will he say at All Hands..that everything is good. The only AI at QC is Absolute Incompetence
