Probably not much and then they tax it. Burn your optional and sick time or you wont get paid like me

@1m9 It caps at 12 weeks for people below director. I think the director cap is like 16 weeks or something? VP and above are on individual contracts and usually get 1-2 years.

I only got 12 weeks severance and vacation time (not optional, sick, or carryover). It wasn’t two weeks per year with the company because I’ve been there more than 6 years. Insurance is done at the end of this month and then you can pay for Cobra.

In all honesty, any severance pay this company has ever given is not enough to live on or just stay for and be miserable. It is really amazing to see how much other companies appreciate their employees, and I am talking with more than just money, compared to the leadership that has been and still remains in place at this company.

Be sure and review your severance package and the disclaimers in the waiver. Depending on your knowledge and why you have experienced if there is an NDA or something of that sort it might be best to speak with an employment law lawyer. Many lawyers give a free consultation, some depending on your situation will just take a portion of your legal reward or settlement. Going public, to press, reviewing book options, and etc. might be worth much more than the severance package amount. Know your options.

Burn your optional holiday time first. Because you wont get paid on those.

From what I was told from someone who was let go - You work for 2 weeks, then you’re finished with the company. 2 weeks per year of service is paid and any unused vacation time is paid. They do not pay out sick time or holiday time. This came from an hUniti employee.
I haven’t heard about insurance, but I do know Uniti used to use COBRA, not sure if that’s still the case.
