We need some help in the field we have been cut down to a skeleton crew and my manager is non-existent.

@476 most won’t take the time needed to reflect on themselves and will just blame others. It’s easier than correcting where they are falling short in their personal lives.
Some need to learn to focus on positive things if you focus on all the negative that’s all you will see. Yes we have bad leadership so what. instead of putting that magnifying glass on the negatives or on your complaints turn around and look in the mirror, maybe it’s you.
There is no need for back up or a better manager. Look at the top leaders in your company, do they look like leaders? People spend so much time worrying about poor leadership when really they should be reflecting on themselves. Aspire to be great in all circumstances! Poor leadership doesn’t mean poor performance from the team.
not to worry our Managers will help us all just like before with clear direction, picking up the slack, and setting clear goals to succeed. Just give them a call.....Now about that bridge

@qc That’s why there’s a market where the Wireless “NetOps” were replaced by a fiber splicer and a fiber tech. Make that make sense…oh yea, that goes to show the difference in skill set and knowledge between one set of “techs” and the other.
@b0 Says the parts replacement “tech.” Anyone can replace a bad part and hope it’s plug and play. Fiber/enterprise techs actually have to be able to console into a network device, provision and do test/turn up. I’ve never seen SC/DAS “net ops” personnel do that. What I do know they’re good at is dispatching GCs to do the work.
We don’t care. Nobody is coming to save you. If you don’t like how we are reshaping this company & can’t or won’t roll your sleeves up and work harder, then please leave. You are replaceable and seem too weak to handle what we are doing here. Please consult with your manager on finding a better role or turn in your notice.

@b0 Is that what happened on the West? From what I understand, they tried to train SC to be able to do Fiber/Enterprise but they couldn’t do what Fiber/Enterprise netops could. Looks like one set of “techs” were not like the other.
@a3 I would not trust any of my GCs to perform an ALI…they barely know how to unscrew alarm points just to get a alarm to clear

It’s the same in Small Cell Field operations anyone who knows anything or would put up a fight has been let go or replaced with someone who won’t fight back and doesn’t know what they’re doing..
Every day we are busting our BallZ in the field, we need some help and decent managers to support us, we voiced our needs for help, but the cavalry is not coming to help.
Man - we need some new Dir. to steer this ship before it hits a brick wall!
