Why do they get paid so much when all they’ve done is drive the business into the ground and lay off thousands?
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a behind the table deal setup ahead of time for them to "buy" more stock in exchange for a higher cash comp. Just look, the past CEOs had $1mm in cash, but EH has $5mm in cash compensation. awfully suspicious.
Enough to throw away $1M in stock purchases without thinking twice

It depends on the strength of their organization.
Geo Leaders make $2M-$6M
A quick search will tell you
- CEO: ~$26M per year
- Top exec team (EVPs/C-suite): roughly $7M–$16M each annually
