If we're moving into a phase of quiet, ongoing cuts, that's going to be even more stressful. I can't live every day wondering when the axe drops.

hwo many times do people need to say it, there are always going to be layoffs. there is no "safe" time.. accept it and learn to deal, or leave. it really is that simple. no one says you have to like it, but it be that way
For the last 20years working for Verizon there have been layoffs, and it has been stressful. The only advice this ol boomer can give you is to try to prepare for it and try not to stress. Easier said than done I know, especially in the current economy, but stress will take you down quicker than a big ol line backer.
