Has anyone else had constant org changes, and it’s not all adding up? As we approach the next layoff round, it’s getting very eerie around here. I’m a bit scared. However, it also doesn’t make sense to do all these org changes only for us to be laid off. I can’t make sense of it.

Manager saw my open browser with job listings
She walked by and clearly saw the job posting on my screen. When she asked about it, I lied and said I was looking at salary benchmarks for a friend. The look on her face told me she didn't buy it. Can I be fired over this?
the culture has shifted
it's all about fear now. no respect, no loyalty from mgmt.
and it's about to get even worse.
i'm unsure what to do. it looks like switching industries would probably make the most sense for me.
i'm not affected, but i'd hate to live in perpetual fear of the proverbial axe.
peace out.
There you have it
Gunjan just said that remote employees are being grandfathered in. Can we please stop the fear mongering now?
major layoffs coming
Big big ai layoffs coming the rest of the year as companies push for huge ai adoption. This is global as companies are going in big with AI. This is scary stuff!
On the ropes
Verizon employees are on the ropes. How many more body blows can they take before they get knocked out for good. The company is an utter mess at the moment. Employees are shell shocked and trying to keep their heads down whilst wondering if it’ll be them that are laid off next. Running a company based on fear and uncertainty only results in one thing : failure
Sociopathic VPs
Is there a requirement for VP's to be sociopaths? They seem to be required to lack empathy or remorse and engage in manipulative behavior to achieve that level.
It is truly disturbing to watch them in action.
I think the annual RIFs are some kind of sick psychopathic game they love to play on us to keep people in line. It must give them pleasure to destroy people's lives year after year for no reason other than to advance their own career.
KS is actually worse than BP
Crazy to consider things could have gotten worse. They have. High ego. High maintenance. Leads with fear and allows ELT to push that fear downward. Get even more done now! Open Enrollment better be perfect! Do even more with less! Get people back into the office! Why aren't we working on weekends? ELT is ramping up pressure across the board and the disconnects are even worse. Plus they pulled in McK and Del because, of course, we can't manage ourselves. This will be an unmitigated disaster in Q4. Disappointing to be sure, but if we were holding out hope for the new guy that did not work out. Clearly does not care for people at all. Plan and prepare accordingly.
Tulsa people (and other office closure survivors)
What does it look like for these teams? Tulsa specifically. A layoff 6 weeks after your office closes is naturally pretty scary
I feel completely stuck
I know people who've left FIDO and found so much joy. They tell me about the peace they've found and the stress that's gone, but I still can't do it. I believe them, but I just can't overcome my own fear of the unknown. What if I can't find something? What if it's worse? I know it's probably not, but I can't convince myself to take the risk.
Handling uncertainty
Asked to relocate to save job. I have interviewed many places but unfortunately didn’t land any job. So it is evident to relocate. However I keep procrastinating that move, as I am being told multiple times here, that I will be cut after moving. Time is running out and I don’t know how y’all made that move decision and went forward. What was that one thing that got you out of your a-s and made the move despite of all these fears?
Manchester redundancies
Any news of redundancies in Manchester? I am in constant fear of losing my job, I feel like I'm walking on eggshell every day.
Just got the invite
Well,
My manager just put an invite on my cal for tomorrow at 9am sharp. Subject says "quick connect". I asked what this was in reference to and did not get a response. Let the games begin. US based, been here for 7 years.
Will the fear ever end?
I'm more stressed than I've ever been. I don't know if we'll ever get to a point where we can just focus on our work again and not have to think about layoffs every two weeks.
They succeeded in silencing me
I've been thinking about who I was when I started here versus who I am now. I used to speak up when something was wrong and I always used to advocate for people. Now I just keep my head down and stay quiet, even when I see something clearly unfair happening. And I realize that's exactly what management wanted. They've created a culture of fear that's made me lose my voice. Knowing that has only made me more determined to leave as soon as I get the chance.
Fearlayoff
Sometimes, managers facing uncertainty about their own roles may make employee layoff decisions in an effort to protect their position, although the reasons for layoffs are often complex and vary by organization.
Does anyone have actual layoff information?
This site is called "TheLayoff.com", not "YouNeedATherapistButWontGetOne.com"...
it would be cool if anyone had any ACTUAL layoff information to post instead of having to read a bunch of grown adults bashing anything they can to cope with their fear of being laid off.
NCM’s - What is our fate?
I’m an NCM on LTSS, which we know has always been considered a “money maker” for the company, but, on a serious note, what do we think our fate is? I know AI can’t completely do our jobs, but, I’m still very fearful.
Feedback on P. Di-kerson's Management Style
If leadership is reading this, I encourage you to take an honest look at P. Di-kerson's track record since she joined. Consider the number of people who have left the team, the overall level of dissatisfaction, and the noticeable decline in morale.
I would challenge leadership to run a truly anonymous team survey. I believe the results would highlight concerns that many people are currently reluctant to raise openly.
Her management style creates an environment of fear rather than trust. Public criticism is common, feedback is often delivered in front of others, and people become more focused on avoiding blame than on doing their best work. Instead of encouraging ownership and collaboration, it drives people to protect themselves.
There is also very little visible self-reflection or willingness to acknowledge when her own approach may be contributing to problems. Accountability appears to be expected from everyone else, but rarely from herself.
I hope leadership takes these concerns seriously, as I believe the current environment is having a significant negative impact on employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention.
Utilization Review Department Su-ks
My first post and I said what the staff thinks. Employees work in FEAR. Managers will do anything to keep their jobs and upper leadership knows they themselves are incompetent so nothing is done.
The complete list of problems
Let me list what's wrong here. Incompetent leadership. No honesty from the top. Managers who promise one thing and deliver another. A terrible culture. Fear driven by constant cuts. And the only people who get ahead are the ones who know someone. Am I forgetting anything?
More layoffs today 22 June
Well folks, more layoffs reported out of Estero today impacting Facilities and other departments. Other posts on social media indicating long timers quitting without jobs lined up. Forget back to basics and wasteful spending in throwing spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. Anyone left should be terrified of what’s to come!
Scared to Take FMLA
I want to take FMLA to care for my mother with stage IV cancer. I have heard horror stories about positions being eliminated while on leave. Anyone have experience with this?
What to do if boss puts meeting invite on 6/17?
What does everyone recommend we do if our boss puts a meeting invite on 6/17? Does that mean we are toast? Has anyone considered taking PTO or blocking off their calendar day on 6/17 with more important meetings? I am just going to say that our application has an urgent security concern that needs to be addressed or it risks being shutdown. It is a joke how this is being handled at our company.
Just do it already
Get rid of all of us you want to. I'm tired of constant threats of layoffs. Let's have one huge round: show the door to every single person who you thinks needs to be out so that those who are left can once again fully focus on their work. This is exhausting.
Stop
Stop the fear mongering on this site. We were assured that “ CDAO, CTO, and P&C Tech” would have massive layoffs: nothing. We were promised, bullied if even questioned the source of Fraud and AML having massive layoffs in April/May. Well April and May have passed.
The people who used to actually be in the know and leaked to this site have clearly been laid off. Since about last year zero predictions have been accurate.
Stop posting your theories. It only ki-ls the credibility of good sources. If you need to vent go to therapy.
Dread
It’s all I feel on Sunday nights. Especially this one.
Sounds familiar?
A toxic workplace is when you're always scared of a pay cut or getting let go. It's when your manager won't stop hovering over every little thing you do. And it's when management rewards the people who tattle on coworkers for the tiniest mistakes. Sounds familiar?
More coming…
More rounds of RIFs are coming at FIS, because that’s leadership’s answer to everything. Don’t fix anything at the top, just keep eliminating positions while our stock tanks and employees live in constant fear of losing their jobs. When are the CEO, CFO and other senior leaders going to be held accountable for the absolutely abysmal state of the business?
Fear-based environment
Does the new cohort of managers know that fear-based management is not the only one in existence, and that it certainly isn't the one to result in highest productivity? I swear, the more somebody yells at me, the slower I do my job. Intentionally. These "leaders" need some lessons in people skills.
Nightmare at State Street
Ron needs to increase his total compensation for 2026. He's like the Freddy Krueger. Once you think you're safe and put your head down, he comes after your job. Do not sleep!
My team is a nightmare and I am stuck in it
Every morning I wonder if today is the day they decide I am out. Leadership flips on people without warning and I have seen it happen too many times. The rules change weekly, nothing is written down, and I get blamed for not reading minds. I am running on empty and too scared to speak up because anyone who complains disappears. This crew has cycled through everyone multiple times since I started. They call it natural turnover but it looks much more like a sla-ghter to me.
Can the same department be hit twice this round?
I'm looking for some assurance of safety, probably in vain. They always just keep coming back for more.
Bargain w FM: you keep me in fear, I do min required
Don’t expect engagement, cooperation, creativity. You won’t get it because you don’t believe in it. You believe in hierarchy of mediocre yes-people, micromanagement and fear tactics.
What's going to be the next excuse for layoffs?
I mean, once AI gets exposed as an overhyped, expensive, hallucinating toy?
Who is next?
Anyone know who is next to go and a timeline?
Merry Xmas to all who got transferred to Cognizant
Under terms FIS is going to pay markup on existing salaries to Cognizant. The usual contract is for 6 months and 30 to 50% markup.
Around X-Mas time, 6 months contract time will be coming to an end. FIS will say bye bye to all of you.
Cognizant salaries are peanuts. The pay Senior Database Architect 120K max. In short, you will not find new project in Cognizant.
During 2026 holidays, Cognizant manager will send you a sweetly worded letter, telling you that your job is being shelved.
Thats why wishing you.. Merry X-mas.
