People join, learn the ropes, build their resume, then leave for something bigger. I've been noticing it more and more.
Haven't filled out a job application in over two decades and I have no idea what to do with this. If I say yes, they call my manager and I'm outed as a job-seeker. If I say no, I look like I'm hiding something. The manager already made it clear he doesn't want anyone on the team who's thinking of leaving. I don't know how to navigate this without torpedoing my current position.
Flocks of our staff are jumping over to other companies. Recent trends also indicate Sixt is picking up talent. Who’s running over Kennedy’s empire?
Two ca--abis manufacturers in Santa Rosa are implementing substantial layoffs this fall, impacting over 100 positions. CraftForce Services Inc., part of CannaCraft, will lay off approximately 60 employees, primarily production technicians. NorCal Ca--abis Company, through Queen City Staffing, will permanently lay off about 49 workers in packaging and trimming roles. An executive cited ongoing financial difficulties within the statewide ca--abis industry as the reason for these workforce reductions. These cuts reflect broader economic challenges and declining sales in the legal ca--abis market.

She walked by and clearly saw the job posting on my screen. When she asked about it, I lied and said I was looking at salary benchmarks for a friend. The look on her face told me she didn't buy it. Can I be fired over this?
Look for other places have jobs
GK just said that in the Townhall?
If you're smart, you're job hunting. If you're not, well, you're going to be caught off guard when things get worse. And they'll get much, much worse.
Leave belk off resume…unless you have a huge gap in years….other big box retailers (mostly all clothing retail) will not even interview a person with belk on their resume. Belk is considered the red head stepchild of the retail world.
Fellow MBA’s what shifts do you normally work each week?
I now normally get stuck with 2 Closing Shifts , 3 opening shifts
I used to get 1 close and 4 opening shifts when I first moved out of being a CXM
Less closing Was supposed to be a perk of being
MBA vs CXM
And now having AYS , Jewelry and CXC’s added to my list of responsibilities is pushing my buttons
Every day more work gets added and there's never enough time. If I'm going to be this burned out, I might as well find a place that pays better.
I learned the hard way that leaving wasn't the solution I thought it would be. I ended up in the same mess but without the seniority I'd built up. Make sure you truly know what you're leaving for before you jump ship, is all I'm saying.
Let’s motivate ourselves to leave. I’ve applied for 3 so far and I’m applying for at least one today. How many jobs have you applied for so far?
The United States is experiencing a significant surge in tech industry layoffs, accounting for the vast majority of global job reductions. Oracle has emerged as the largest contributor, responsible for nearly 20% of all tech job cuts this year. Major companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta are also implementing workforce reductions, often citing AI integration as a driving factor. These layoffs are part of a broader industry trend toward restructuring and optimizing operations for future growth. The phenomenon highlights a global recalibration within the tech sector, with the US at its epicenter.

ADP has been doing layoffs for over ten years now. Once longtime employees start making to much money the company starts cutting jobs and rehires for cheaper labor.

It flopped that quickly.
I've been job hunting for a while now, and I've gotten some offers, but nothing that matches what I make here. That's pretty concerning because Exxon hasn't been known for top-tier pay for years, yet the offers I'm getting are still noticeably lower. I knew the market had softened, but I didn't realize it was this bad.
I've been through the layoff process and I wanted to share what I learned. I was able to find a new position within a couple months, but I'll be honest, it wasn't because of anything I did at Oracle. The industry is well aware of what's happening at this company and they're not exactly impressed. So when you're interviewing, focus on the skills you've built, not the brand name.
The US insurance sector continued to shed jobs through June. Revised figures for April and May showed further declines. This resulted in the single worst half-year in history for insurance job counts. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) provided this data. Broker layoffs contributed to the overall job reduction.

Western New York experienced job reductions. More than 700 layoffs occurred in the second quarter. These cuts affected various industries. One specific industry accounted for the majority of these job losses.

Ideal US Talent Systems Worker OpCo LLC laid off 776 employees in Virginia. These job cuts took effect on Wednesday, July 1. All affected individuals were gig workers averaging 3.6 hours weekly. The company is transitioning its customer contracts to a third-party partner. This firm also announced nearly 10,000 national layoffs.

Shelby County experienced increased job losses in 2026. Over 1,400 jobs were affected by WARN notices by June 30. This total already surpasses the entire previous year's job reductions. Several companies contributed to these workforce reductions. Nike, GXO, IKEA, PMC Biogenix, CACI, WK Kellogg Co., and JBS USA were among them.

McKinsey & Company plans to cut 3,000 to 4,000 jobs. This affects about one-tenth of its global staff. The reductions focus on back-office and junior research roles. Generative AI has shortened delivery timelines in these areas. This indicates AI directly replaces junior analyst work.

I joined this industry a decade ago bright-eyed and excited to write code and implement solutions. Now everything is just AI. AI this, AI that. It's utterly soulless. I'm seriously considering going back to college and switching to a different field or something.
Is there a gaming company left that's actually hiring people and not laying them off? Where are we supposed to find new jobs? I really don't want to change industries, but the way things are looking, I won't really have a choice.
Americans express high anxiety about job security. This concern persists despite a remarkably low unemployment rate. New Glassdoor research identifies artificial intelligence as the primary worry. Some companies, including Meta, Amazon, and Salesforce, have cited AI in recent layoffs. However, AI's overall impact on broad employment figures remains limited so far.

All I keep reading is people boasting how they left this place. Well, I want to leave Honeyhell as well but I can't find anybody who's hiring, or at least anybody who's hiring at comparable pay. So please, be kind and share with the rest of us, who's currently hiring? Where are you all going?
Centene Corporation Chief Executive Officer Sarah London earned a total calculated compensation of $19,506,298 for the 2025 fiscal year. This represents a slight decrease from her 2024 total compensation package of $20,602,148.
Andrew L. Asher — Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Total Compensation: $16,072,880
And that's just those two.
Maybe get rid of them first. How many jobs could be saved?
are people looking for a new job now or going to wait it out and see if you get laid off?
I can't get interviews for roles that match my experience, so I've been applying for entry level jobs just to get some money coming in, since severance is melting away. Each one of them said I'm overqualified and would leave too fast. So what am I supposed to do?
Normally people 'stick' w/ company max seven years. It is rare to see the majority of them with ONE company for more than 30+ years! It always makes me wonder how 'relevant' they are compared to outside work force. First time I have seen/witness a company with many veterans. Back in the old days, it was bad/negative if resume shows "job hopping" , or working for name brand established companies. This generation is looking for 'fresh ideas' 'out of the box' ...Who moved my cheese
I joined just four months ago but I hate it already. I got lucky and another company just offered me a role that pays a little less but is much closer to what I actually want and hopefully comes with less toxicity. I am grateful for the option, but I am wondering how much it'll be an issue for my resume in the future to leave a job after such a short time.
I keep my skills fresh, paid for a resume rewrite, network constantly, and still nothing after five months. The interviews I got went well and then they just stopped responding, which somehow hurts worse than a straight rejection. What else can I do?

I notice that the losers from Integrated Services haven’t updated their profiles with their new titles. Aren’t they proud to be working at the intersection Ford and unemployment?
Hey, guys wondering which orgs should I consider transferring too. I want know which STS are green or red flags. I’m currently an associate engineer with continued meet standards in CET,RWT and I keep getting things blocked due to budget related stuff. I’m tired of my org not evaluating me fairly so I’ll be applying around again.

My manager found out I've been job hunting and that I took some time to go to a job interview (side note, I was an id--t - do not tell your coworkers anything, they'll use it to their advantage in a second). How sc--wed am I? If the interview went well I wouldn't have cared, but it didn't, so as of now, I have no backup.
My experience so far hasn't been great, most places don’t even respond and the few that do say they already have way too many candidates for the same roles.
I am about to get laid off as IFP. I want to just continue career at Cigna as I am familiar. But where else to apply to? All other healthcare companies like Blue Cross and others?
