At&t loves a good slogan they can jam down everyone's throats as if that's going to change anything with how terrible the company actually is. Stinkeys "Marketbased Culture" is the latest. "Fast. Friendly. Fixed" is the other and both couldn't be further from reality. Anything to deviate from highlighting the fact that MOST anyone L3 and higher are overpaid, have nothing valuable to contribute and actively waste everyone else's time DAILY. THE ONLY REAL REASON anyone is still working here (and I will say for the majority of people) is the job market is also so trash right now, no one can risk being out of a job for an extended period of time especially if they have homes and families. That whole "just leave" argument is cute though.

I'd avoid this company until the Paramount merger settles. I just got caught up in the layoffs along with several other coworkers. The future is uncertain and job security is low at the moment. I was in a tech position.

I finally did it. Put in my notice on Monday, walked out the door, and didn't look back. I didn't even give a two week's notice. I don't plan to be back so I don't care if I burnt any bridges. I watched nepotism get promoted and talent get ignored for years. Enough is enough.

There's no such thing as job security here anymore. Just the illusion of it until the next email.

Not sure if this means more bad news is coming or if this was them filing something about the 2Q Earnings that took 25% of the stock. Examples I was given of things that a 8-K is for is a C-suite quitting or being removed, bankruptcy, or the loss of a significant large contract.

This place is on life support and has been for a while, and management keeps unplugging the machines. I've watched entire departments vanish, and the work just gets dumped on whoever's left. The collapse won't be dramatic - it'll be a slow, painful death by attrition.

IBM, which has been poorly run for decades, is on the ropes. The company has had plenty of practice managing decline. When it warned about its earnings a week ago, the stock dropped over 20%. It is down 30% for the year, while the S&P is up 9%. If that is even true. I know you people don't want a two class society at USBank but leadership caused this mess. If remote employees can be grandfathered then past employees should have been given a route to become remote too.
