Question for HouseCalls APCs — how’s everyone’s schedule looking for August and September? Curious if others are noticing a pattern of unusually few visits scheduled starting mid-August onward.

Is three days in Singapore Office, being tracked

It’s interesting to see hiring leaders into high-level roles with fully remote. Is this acceptable?

What is the purpose of the 3rd office day? He-l, hardly anybody does it and lots of other teams barely come in for the required 2 days & are still employed. They come in for a few hours, swipe badge and are out.

13.8 days required this month, so you need to be in 14 days or get talked to.

I plan to just go in 12 days and let it be. It’s freaking 95 degrees where I am at and now the air quality is bad, way too dangerous to suffer in extreme heat and hazardous air just so I can sit by myself and talk to my co workers on team.

Anyone just going to say f it or are you doing 14?

A couple months ago, they made most of our building be fully remote (my entire team is with the optional monthly visit)

Should’ve realized this was the reason, as I just got the call and I am now out.

My son had a minor asthma attack tonight. In Minneapolis, we've been advised to shut windows, turn off air conditioners so that we can breathe inside our own homes and avoid going outside. The heat index is expected to be in the upper 90's tomorrow. The current air quality index is 520 (hazardous). Downtown parking is limited and taking public transportation requires standing outside, waiting for the bus/lightrail and the walking several blocks to get to the office.

It's incredible to me that we have had to normalize and navigate new infectious pathogens, violent government occupations of our cities and global warming events such as this and yet the MC requires us to strictly adhere to 1990's style work requirements.

I've been following the rules. I dress business casual, take the bus downtown or pay $20 a day for parking, walk a few blocks and then I sit alone and interact with no one except the clerk at the nearby coffee shop for the entire time I'm there. I don't work with a single person at my hub. And I work in STEM, so there's no reason whatsoever for me to be there if none of my coworkers are there. The time, effort and money it costs me to go sit by myself, under florescent lights in a mostly empty office space feels at the very least absurd and at most, intentionally cruel.

I already know the MC won't address this or show that they care in any way. This might be the last straw for me. I can't take one more obstacle in the way of simply doing the job I was hired to do. I'm a single parent, the air outside is hazardous and I'm currently stressing about meeting my RTO metrics for July. This is beyond stupid. It's malicious.

With today's announcement of four days in office, it's time for some of us to leave. Has anyone had luck finding remote positions?

Someone was saying they heard that the FL Regional center was going back to on-site 1 week a month, seems strange as most sites are going to full time on site. Probably just a wishful thinking rumor.

Is that still in effect?

Can we stop with the work visas for white collar jobs already? We can't even employ the college grads we have today. It's beyond obvious America has shot itself in the foot.

I remember that James or Tom, when asked about RTO, said "if you were with your customer till 2am, no one will expect you to be in the office the next morning ".

I try not to work on holidays when I can avoid it.

Unfortunately, I need to be prepared for the next LR.

Yes. I do that too.

In fact, that is most of what I do.

Every now and then, some pesky customer calls and interrupts my LR preparation, but I try not to let that derail the mission.

Is there a minimum hrs required to be present in office during your in-office days? How is this followed in various locations

Just got a RTO related email outlining ground rules which included packing up all of your stuff if you plan to be in meetings for an extended period of time. It's bad enough not to have a permanent desk, but being expected to vacate a desk during the business day is beyond ridiculous. If you want me in the office, I need an actual space to work.

Anyone have experience with doing less than 8 hours in office? I am required 8 hours in office 3 days a week. I am not in any customer facing role, everything can be handled over a teams call, I don’t “collaborate” in person. Other than this requirement I mostly like my job.

I don’t think my manager cares either, as long as I am not “flagged” in the system. And he gets notified he needs to chat with me..

I know the new requirement was a hard 8 hours in office. Originally I did that. But occasionally I have done 6 or 7 hours in office and haven’t heard anything from my manager, I don’t want to push it too much.

I am wondering if anyone has insight on what the limit is? Or how the system works?

Optional Background:
I can comply with being in office and not coffee badging, sure. But the strict 8 hours in office, especially coupled with an over an hour commute including traffic is tough. That is 2 hours a day commuting, and then maybe an additional hour needed to wake up and get ready in the morning. Sure it’s doable, but that time really adds up. And if it’s not necessary…It’s also difficult to be flexible and meet with offshore team members in the early morning or late night.

Being able to do 5,6,7 hours helps a lot to bypass traffic and manage time better. Any insight please?

Will Corp Risk eventually adjust back to 3 days in office once they get the numbers they need?

Not sure what all of you people are crying about. To add, converged service rep like myself just takes inbound sales/retention calls all day. One day a week we have a 30 minute meeting and that’s literally it. My friend in Lubbock does the exact same thing but now is permanent WFH as of July because of the surplus. It’s clear that our job does not need to be in office, I would be offline less time if I was conveniently at home. So unless you can answer my question, move. How can I not work from home but he can?

So I’m a converged service rep in Amarillo and have to work in the office 5 days a week. My friend in Lubbock who is in the same department as me but under a different center manager got a surplus and was offered to keep their same job and wfh full time. How is it fair that we do the same work but I have to keep reporting to the office? What’s the reason for us not being able to work from home?

Did they change how it’s tracked? Before I recall them just caring about the 8 week average, do they care about weekly average now?

If I go all 5 days this week, and next week I go in once, wouldn’t my weekly average be 3? Or do I need to go in 3 times a week to avoid any complaints or issues?

Curious to know if they are still renewing the H1B in 2026 ? Or they have stopped doing the renewals too?
I know they have stopped sponsoring work visas for new roles.

anyone experience changing from company cell phones to the new AWS phone system where they track and record your calls? Why are they doing this? And they want us to connect with Ethernet cables now….are we in 1999?

With all of the systems issues we shouldn’t be counted for today being in office. I went home after a few hours of spinning systems.

Hearing rumors going on about this.. can anyone here 'in the know' confirm?
