Are they really looking to hire internally or is that fake job postings? I saw one I liked but I feel like internal hires might be blown off.

Inquiring minds want to know?
Could an employee that was impacted come back to VZ in another role or are there blockers? Please no smart answer's.
Can you apply for internal roles after being laid off?
Or, to rephrase that, can you ask to be considered for a different role instead of taking the severance? And if nothing is available, then accept the severance instead?
Store closure master thread
If you are laid off I wish you the best.
Mega thread for impacted stores.
State, store name, agent divested to if applicable.
Remember you can apply to the agent your store is going to. You also can apply internally.
Just got benched, what now
Was told last week I'm benched. Part of Bridge. The insurance customer funding us dried up several months ago. Should I have started applying last week? I'm hopeful I can placed internally.
I haven't interview prepped in years. I heard the job market is seriously different than when they were handing out jobs like candy during COVID. how cooked am I?
Internal Job Opportunity
Since all of the layoffs over the past 6-12 months, I’ve been actively applying for internal and external jobs. I finally got an interview internally, but I’m curious what are everyone’s opinions on what parts of the company would not be worth moving to? Thanks all, have a good week.
Verizon Hiring Engineers in Ireland?
Anyone else see the recently posted engineering positions in limerick Ireland? It looks like they are targeting fresh graduates. I have a few problems with this:
Weren’t all international operations sold to BT?
Why Ireland when our network is based in the United States?
These would be good positions for associates looking to move into engineering. Why are they looking outside the company when people inside the company would want these jobs.
Are Op Positions Still A Thing
Over the past year, I’ve been keeping an eye on internal opportunities because my current role may be impacted any day now and definitely will be before the end of the year. One thing I’ve noticed is that I rarely see U.S.-based operational positions (BEC, Senior BEC, Leads, etc.). Most of the openings I come across appear to be in India, and U.S. operational postings seem few and far between almost extinct and obsolete.
Is anyone else seeing the same thing, or is it just the types of roles I’m searching for? I know these company believes several roles are replaceable by using AI instead.
I’m genuinely curious whether this is a broader trend or if Workday has limited/filter me out of internal roles.
For context, I’m not looking to debate whether I should stay with the company. I have my own reasons for wanting to pursue internal opportunities first. I’m mainly interested in whether others have observed the same hiring pattern.
Thank you for your time
Has anyone been hired internally and negotiated pay?
Has anyone applied internally, was hired, then you were able to negotiate pay? I’m hearing there is a max of 8-10% from your current pay you can be increased. Is this true? I am going to apply for a position and have a great shot at it but need to be able to negotiate pay for this role.
Change job internally - more at risk?
I have been within current VP org for the last 5 years. I see a good opportunity moving in another group. Did a few interviews and manager said I’m the perfect fit.
My question is, am I more at risk of WFR shifting roles internally? As in, would be the first one to go (if the manager was asked to make headcount reductions).
Thoughts?
Exit Date July 13 for those notified after May 13 earnings - many choices internal role or outside
Comments if your exit date is set as your departure (taking the package), Or choosing to roll. There are few internal jobs posting but not sure if real or posted just for fake pretend. I applied for every job I could, over 100 internal jobs. Four interviews, but no offer.
Tough job market currently, hope few land.
Asking recruiter to be considered for internal role after it expired
I had applied but then withdrew my application since the pay was lower than I anticipated, however after second though I'd like to be considered again but the opening has closed. Am I SOL?
Anyone here take a paycut to transfer internally to a team you wanted to join?
How significant was it? Looking at a 25k paycut, not sure if Im crazy or not. Going from 95k to 70k but for a team I would prefer.
Harvard FAS Prepares Layoffs, Seeks Internal Hires
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) at Harvard University is undergoing an administrative overhaul. This restructuring could eliminate up to one in four staff jobs. FAS recently opened internal searches for seven new high-level administrative positions. Staff members anticipate additional job cuts this summer. The changes aim to address federal funding cuts and a budget deficit.

Applying internally is pointless
Before, if you worked hard here, asked the right questions, and applied when a better role opened up, you had a real shot. Lately, that hasn't been the case. It's like all the internal postings are advertised just for the sake of appearances, while the roles are already reserved for pre-selected candidates. Tell me I'm wrong.
Let the hunger games begin
We finally got approval for a role on the team. How am I going to pick when I sit in on interviews? The worst candidate. With the mandate that someone has to get does not meet I’m not going to help select the best candidate that might knock me into that category for future layoffs. So for people trying to transfer to a new role internally be aware that people are actively hiring fall guys.wouldn’t it be great if we could actually hire the best person so we could do good work?
Fran says she’s saving jobs
Anyone see Fran’s interview?
Where is she getting all the numbers about 75% of the people getting our yard are getting internally placed again? Most instances the reqs are frozen or there’s none to apply to. She is so fake and I can’t believe people love her post.
How do I convince leadership to let me go back to my old role?
How do I convince leadership to let me go back to my old role/team instead of laying me off? I have been moved around to so many times in the last few years, I’d really like to go back to what I was doing prior to all the re-org’s. Also, does anyone know if HR will offer a lower position in another are vs. laying someone off? I really don’t want to get laid off (despite all the trolls on this site) and willing to take a lower job.
Extension after getting a letter
Has anyone got an extension to stay beyond the reporting date at the new location?
In seat
How long do you have to be in seat before you can apply out ?
Can you start applying earlier than 12 months ans is manager notified?
Internal Job
Does anyone know what happens if you apply for a job internally before the 1 year mark? Are managers only notified if you are selected?

Timeline for internal hiring
I’m about 2 months away from my 1-year mark at Citi and starting to think about internal opportunities. Can I apply before I officially hit 1 year, or do I have to wait?
does your manager only find out if you get an offer, or are they notified at some point during the interview process?
Workflow changes
I have been asked as a care coordinator to switch work flows this month (June) and work new areas that I have never worked before. Everything came out of the blue a few days ago and other care managers from different department are now working the area that I worked and grown accustom to. Does anyone know what is going on?
Behind the scenes after May 7th
Talked to a few hiring managers on Friday and they all echoed the same thing , the last few weeks were the toughest they’ve ever had to maneuver. Every open position was flooded with applications . multiple leaders recommending and putting referees for their own people , non stop calls and emails for referrals all against a deadline to hire before the end of May. Managers were grinding through 8 to 10 interviews a day, trying to balance candidate situations like urgent visa situations and ongoing medical treatments. So people who found internal roles during this time was due to strongest leadership push rather than the best skills. glad May is wrapped up so everyone can take a breath and move on. I am sure there is better way to do this ..
Help negotiating UK VR
They’ve basically given me a week to take VR otherwise it’s CR
If I take VR I get extra 2800
If I don’t I get statutory terms
They want me gone come what may in a month
First consultation meeting is next week.
Does anyone know if I can apply for VR say in week 2-3?
Can I request they extend the month because I’ve applied for internal job?
Anything I should be aware off?
Is your Manager notified if you apply for another internal job in workday?
I'm considering applying for another internal job but not sure if I will get an interview. I want to ensure I get an interview before letting my boss know that I applied for a job.
Does anyone know if workday notifies your manager as soon as you apply for another job?
Re-orged is there any hope?
For anyone who has had this happen, how hard is it to get to another department/team? How long did it take? Was reorged today and not thrilled with where they put me.
To Someone Wants to Switch Team
Make sure you do some research on the team before making a switch. I’ve heard of teams with ongoing management concerns, including one where the manager has been out on maternity leave for extended periods almost every year for the last 3-4 years and then returned to take credit for the team’s work. There’s also another team where employees were reassigned primarily so they could be given poor performance reviews and eventually laid off. You definitely want to avoid ending up in an environment like that.
Manager notified when you apply internally?
Is your manager notified if you apply to an internal job posting? Anyone knows?
internal move
is it a good move to apply to other positions within fiserv and move , my current work is a he-l in BH
How is Cigna Hiring?
I don’t understand how Cigna is hiring for customer service agents when a mass layoff was just done, along with possible upcoming layoffs with IFP/Evicore? Like why not move over the agents who are at risk of losing their job to the customer service department the company is hiring for? What’s the point in hiring others when you have internal people with experience? Why are we hiring anyways with current layoffs? I don’t understand the moves this company is making. Nothing makes sense anymore.
Already heard of 2 impacted in ETIPS
They were able to secure internal transfer but got RIF notice initially.
GL28 senior engineer and a senior director
How long do you have to be in your current position before you can apply internally again?
Been with the company for 5 year, first 4 1/2 years in the same role. Applied internally for another role and got the job 6 months ago. I see another role that I think is a better fit for me, am I allowed to apply or do I need to stay longer at my current role?
Internal positions i interviewed for no longer available
So, I was told two of my positions i interviewed for are no longer available. Just FYI, any one who was interviewing for a position prior to the restructuring will most likely get an email saying: due to business needs, this position is no longer available
Problem with my manager
It's either personal, or they're trying to push me to quit. Either way, it's become unbearable. I've only been here a year and a half, and I don't really understand the dynamics yet. I'd like to move to another team. Who should I talk to? Just to explore my options, if there are any.
You have an internal interview scheduled…
You make contact with the hiring manager prior to the meeting and develop some rapport, identify some people in common, only to have an unlisted 3rd party join the Meet, who is inevitably some “distinguished” tw-t that throws curveball questions about things that were only discussed among the team in the last weekly meeting, and documented in a locked Google Doc. Indians hiring Indians.
