Business Update: 30 Remote DTFR Employees Laid Off! YAYYYY!!!!!
Finally received my 60 day non-working notice from Wells Fargo update after a Business Update meeting in Microsoft Teams. Super excited to be moving on! Glad I stuck around in Fraud (continued working remotely) after the Relocation Strategy email from corporate in February 2024 warning of these layoffs in the future. Delay after delay in DTFR, disorganized upper managers pushing out the date further and further. Prevent AI to date was a flop (but who cares anyways). Today I am happy to announce, I am done with Wells Fargo officially. What a ride it has been! Time to collect my hard earn money while I go on vacation and sip a Colada! Cheers!!!!!!!!!

Nebraska Mandates Advance Layoff Notices
Nebraska has enacted a new state law requiring employers with over 100 employees to provide 90 days' advance notice for mass layoffs or business closings. This legislation, known as the mini-WARN Act, defines specific criteria for what constitutes a mass layoff or business closing. The notice must include details about the affected site, contact information, the nature and schedule of the employment loss, and affected job titles. Employers can deliver notices via mail, email, or by posting them conspicuously, and remote employees are generally included in calculations. Layoffs?
When can we expect layoffs and what functions will be impacted?
Percentages?
Does anyone have any reliable information on percentage of the layoffs for next week? Is it a set number as usual, ie roughtly 10% or 75% with dan the man.. or is it targeted to eliminate orgs, hit some way harder than others?
Do displaced employees have any negotiating power???
I understand we get out 60-days of pay for the non-working period, our accrued PTO (up to the layoff date and not including comm service time, personal holidays or floating holidays) and we get severance. However, has anyone in the US had any success getting anything else? Like paid for all your pto earned or unearned, extra benefits or perks???

More T-Mobile stores closing (with layoffs)?
This posting was on reddit on July 2 in the r/tmobile channel
"My DM gathered all of us for a meeting today at 4 PM and gave us 60 day notice, apparently many stores are getting notice today as well and by next month many more stores are going to get notice, if you are not in a top 100 or experience you are unfortunately next on the chopping block, good luck to all of you in future endeavors."
We're past the point of wondering if there'll be layoffs
The answer is always yes. The questions that should be asked now are when and how many.
What's the timeline?
I'm trying to understand how this works. When someone gets laid off, do they leave that same day or is there a period where they're expected to stay on? New here, if it's not obvious, and nobody on my team was affected this time, but I know it won't last and I'd like to know.
Retail layoffs 7/16?
With the talk of upcoming layoffs happening on 7/16, how sure are we that retail will be affected? Like 60/40? 80/20? 100? I'll be on vacation for that day so I'm just curious if I'll be coming back to the news lol
More layoffs July 15

July layoffs
WF had several major waves in July of recent years (considering the 60-day notice leading up to the 9/30 bonus eligibility date). Any inside scoop on the upcoming 7/7 and 7/21 layoffs? Anything different this year or it's just business as usual?
Another round!!
There is another round of layoffs looming. It’s going to start today. Half of my team got an invite to a call at noon with our director & a member of HR. I’m not sure how deep this round goes.
PTO Payout & Final Regular Pay
Just a note for those confused by the info provided in the Displacement Packet regarding the timing...
PTO and Final Paycheck for me were just deposited in my bank account on the last day of my 60-day non-working period. Thought it would be next week, but no. Submitting my Lump Sum request tomorrow (1st day of my "free agency"). I'll let you know how long that takes to process.
