Duggan's departure
It's been a few weeks, but I've finally calmed down. When I first heard the news my body felt weak, I couldn't sleep because this visionary was gone.
y so serious (negative)
internal sentiment at this company is too negative. hard to work with some people/teams with sh-t attitude and outlook as a motivated new hire and outsider, trying to make it work. cant even explain how much worse my last gig was and it was rated one... — read more

How can moving to limited pools of employees around centres of excellence, improve a company? I call BS. They are winding OT down.
never saw a company work so hard to disincentivize people
No meaningful raises for 99% of the employees No more monetary awards to recognize years of service No cost of living increases Rare that leaders are allowed ot give monetary thank you's for going the extra mile. OT . The company that comes to mind... — read more

What an absolute disgrace of a migration, whoever signed off on big bang approach should be sacked. I feel for the support team
I am so happy the Tom Jenkins is laying off (firing) so many people to raise the stock price ...
I see the market was up again today, and the OpenText price ... oh, crud ... down again. This company's outlook is bleak as long as Jenkins, his pupppet CEO, the so-called Board of Directors, Bell, Muhi, Rai, Berry, Cione, Acedo, and all the other... — read more
They laid off the whole Portfolio team and replaced it with... nobody
No kidding. These people laid off everyone in Portfolio then pushed their work to teams that have never heard of the product before. Literal people that support things like SiteScope now working Portfolio products with zero training on them. Just two... — read more

Deliver a message - DO NOT TAKE Survey

OpenText is the worst company ever!
This company is the worst ever. They have no clue what they are doing. SMBC is for sale, probably sold already. Just let us go already. I'm not giving in though; they are going to pay me severance. Treating people like sh!t is going to work, and... — read more

How many years do you need to be here to get severance?
What is layoff? OT style
A layoff is when good epmployees are let go due to bad business decisions. The employees were forced to support and try to make those decisions work, and are then fired. The executives who made those decisions stick around, say they hated to do it... — read more
I hate everything about my job
I hate this job and this company. I'd leave if I could, but the market is awful. The only silver lining is that layoffs happen all the time, so I might get out with severance eventually.
ADM being sold or closed
is there any new data about this topic? we are waiting for several month to be laid off or sold and it really disrupts the work flow and motivation, everyone is waiting so everything is very slow and unmotivated......
This isn't over
I've seen people starting to relax because they think the layoffs are winding down. That's a mistake. If you look at what's actually happening, it's pretty clear that we're not done yet. Anyone who thinks we're close to the end is going to be very... — read more
New culture survey is just layoffs tactic

Off to a bad start

non sales related layoffs
Are there any cuts coming to engineering or cloud operations ? If so when
I was let go today along others
I was let go today along with many others at the Waterloo office. Many good people. All very senior, so it is all about cutting cost as much as you can. Happy to leave. Dead products with no future growth.
The weak were cut
The poor performers are being removed from the company The people who don't do any work and don't comply with RTO policy are gone We can now move forward and thrive without the dead weight

Layoffs Coming
On a town hall just now, EVP mentioned there are layoffs coming. Hopefully it won't impact too many people.
People are getting layed off today
As the title says. its WFRs with no relation to performance
Thank you
To the folks that have knowledge of the layoffs and willing to share. It’s su-k being laid off but at least you are prepared for it and not blind sided one day. Gives you time to look for other jobs and get your finances in order.
Are layoffs done?
Will there be more tomorrow?
