Perils of AI inside Oracle
Work habits of employees at Oracle has worsened drastically in recent days. Every one going behind AI and trying to assume responsibilities of others.
More like I can also do your work (so we don't need you).
Reduced dependencies inside Team. There used to be a lot of discussions on code base, No one is talking to each other often now.
People using more AI to board more enhancements. But they dont understand how much cr-p they bring.
Ironic name for the wrap reporter on sww today
Should I take it as a sign? Lol.
What is the purpose of this Fireside chat?
This feels like a textbook example of people believing their own narrative. Instead of meaningful transparency or honest discussion, it’s filled with self-congratulation and carefully crafted talking points.
There’s very little substantive information here. It’s just selective framing, unsupported claims, and messaging that doesn’t align with what many people are actually experiencing. Rather than acknowledging legitimate concerns or difficult realities, the focus seems to be on celebrating themselves and controlling the narrative.
Real leadership is measured by results and accountability, not by how enthusiastically you praise your own performance. At some point, the applause for yourselves has to give way to honest conversations backed by facts.
Me to Claude: should all these people lose their jobs?
Claude: “Thanks for the question. It would appear so.”
Remember this happened
For those who forgot we had a coworker die in the office and she was not discovered for several days. How many systems failed her? If you think you should give your life to this company remember that happened. Reinvest in your family and community.
Anyone else just get a Centene survey about Mission Simplify and how likely you are to recommend Centene lmao
0/10 would not recommend!!!! I wrote they are exploitive and my thoughts on making us all wait for this VSP. Mission Simplify is a fu--ing joke
Town hall Q&A admin is removing questions in real time!
Questions are posted and the admin marks them "ANSWERED" yet they are never answered and are ultimately removed from the queue. This is why we have trust issues.
Speak up ANONYMOUSLY
Don”t speak up unless you do it anonymously. Keep records of everything and document! dated, times etc. Then if nothing changes OR you start to be treated different because your leader knows you are the one that filed the complaint then file a claim of retaliation through EEOC. If this has already happened to you file the claim NOW! Even if you are still employed. Nike has to address the EEOC and we can’t keep staying silent while we work for this company that allows discrimination and retaliation. The EEOC will starts to see the trend. Do it NOW! We deserve to feel safe when we come to work and HR and Legal don’t have our back and it’s toxic! Don’t make this toxic culture the norm. Remember that we spend more time at work than we do with our family. It’s taking a toll! Maybe after we expose how toxic it is then Nike can actually recover. Right now we are in fight or flight mode and nothing productive happens in that headspace.
Rising anti-Indian sentiment
I understand the anger against GK, which is valid but is it necessary to throw all Indians under the bus? As a WASP who has worked with several competent Indian origin employees over the years who even went on to become American citizens, I just find all this stereotyping against an entire community a sad projection of what our country has become. Always thought the USB community was above it. Every group without exceptions has competency across the board in similar percentages so I don't understand this new and rising sentiment. Just venting, I guess.
Netflix series coming soon
Somebody tell Netflix, I’m ready to tell my story. I want customers, and providers to know how Cigna really feels about them and how this company ACTUALLY treat their employees. This is absurd and the world needs to hear what’s happening.
Bill, Kelly. and mystery person?
Heard a rumor that there was a third individual at the secret hotel meetings. Any idea who that could be?
MH - It's Time... Where is the Anonymous Survey?
We know how you love the so called anonymous survey. I'm sure KT in HR would support a survey, but MH knows that it will make him look bad, so No surveys anytime soon. KT keep up the pressure maybe he will resign, so you don't have to continue babysitting him for Apollo.
Seems Cummins controls this site
If you post about the misandry at Cummins stating facts....it gets deleted. Strange.
downvoting is suspicious. Keep comments coming.
What's up with all the downvoting suddenly? It's likely Centene the company themselves doing it or company boot lickers (get a life). To employees: never complete those manipulating and invalidating voice surveys but speak your voice here safely and don't be discouraged. Ignore downvoting and negative scores. Fk em. It's not that serious to be downvoting.
HONA
When is layoff going to add a section for honeywell aerospace? Many are ready to start sharing thoughts
Pegasus
Has anyone else noticed something that looks like ‘Pegasus’ popping up on their screen? Not sure if I’m imagining it or if this is really happening. Posting this in case it gets taken down curious if others are seeing the same thing
Shape Survey turnout in the US and EU seems to be very low
HR was actually too nervous to post the numbers for those regions. Honestly, I don't want to waste my time on it. Plus, if I did take it, my responses would just look like an outlier anyway.
Reporting to HR anonymously
Is there a way to report an issue to HR anonymously?
Red Chair 7/16 Basking Ridge
Any one see the signup post on the basking ridge slack for red chairs on 7/16 in BR? Is this some sick twisted joke?
Mid-year review in Abraham/Press org
I was told by an AD yesterday that they were asked “to do something they don’t typically do for midyear reviews and when asked why the Director said they don’t know why.” Any idea what this is and if it’s specific to this org or something happening more broadly?
Stand up for yourself
Everyone knows that layoffs are coming and the company is restructuring. We also know that WF has no qualms about doing so ethically or unethically. The question is, why aren't we doing everything we can to fight back? The company doesn't care if you get displaced and lose your severance. Trying to play the games leadership makes is only going to hurt everyone in the long run.
Newsflash, you're out of a job. It's no longer a matter of "if" but "when". So you can't save your package or your income here. But what you can do is document everything, practice malicious compliance, and report what you see to your local bureaus/attorney and make the restructuring process as slow and painful for the company as possible. Go to the press and submit anonymous information even.
Because if you got by the mentality of "at least it wasn't me" otherwise, then guess what. You're still going to end up laid off and then come here to complain about how "it's not fair." At least this way it forces leadership to think twice about the battles they pick. And maybe, just maybe it buys you and everyone else some time to get ahead of the curb before they start firing soon instead of complaining constantly, not doing anything about it, and then wonder why things are still toxic here.
Lawyer Up:
I have been in a legally protected status, but now theyre after my job. been in this place for 5 years and this is what they do. if you tote work life balance, where is the example. hikes are dismall, childcare is so darn expensive and if you make changes according to the employee handbook, they decide to drop you with a hot potato.. new parents be damned! product and innnovation group and digital assets is a horrible place. stay away. ive gotten a lawyer
Perspective Surveys
Bring back the survey you bloody cowards, too afraid of your employees you’d rather bury your head in a hole?
Is it bad everywhere?
As the title states, how are the other departments doing in fab 8? Have any positions been backfilled since last year? Management is acting so despondent. AI this, pick up the slack, no work. What the heck is going on?
OFS - Whatever happened to M. Walton
Mr. Walton was the CRO for Fiserv pre-merger. Then one day he just disappeared. Does anyone know what happened to him?
AI Sessions
Stop putting AI meetings during lunch hour. We already know AI is coming for our jobs because you’re forcing it down our throats! Now you want to take my lunch too!!!!
Where's the outrage outside of this forum?
I see people on this board agreeing about how bad things are, but in real life I work with people who don't seem to care. Nobody seems too worried about layoffs, the secrecy, or the eroding culture. How can anyone not be angry about this?

Too much secrecy
The way they keep us in the dark about everything is exhausting. I shouldn't have to rely on internet forums to figure out my own job security. This is going to backfire on them eventually.
Just a statistic
I've come to realize that no matter how hard you work or how much you care, you're just a number to the people running this place. It took me a while to accept that, but once I did, I stopped taking things so personally. It's actually liberating.
London Calling (non vsp)
Do you think Sarah London has any idea who The Clash even are.
This has bugged me for a long time.
Not Layoff related
As the title suggests, has anyone noticed an uptick of downvotes lately on this site on posts that are not saying positive things to say about centene? Uppers are hiding on this website? Lets see how many downvotes this post receives

Meeting Hero/ Work Zero Coworker
I need advice on how to deal with a certain type of coworker. There’s a guy on my team who talks a lot in meetings and always volunteers easy solutions to every problem that comes up. But after the meeting, he’s nowhere to be found. None of his “solutions” actually materialize, and there’s no real follow-through on anything he says. It seems he’s 100% focused on creating the perception that he’s the solution guy, the smartest one in the room, the one who has it handled, but in practice he’s not even close to that. Basically, he’s a meeting hero / work zero. The frustrating part is that management hears him in these meetings and happily believes he’s actually taking care of things, masterminding solutions for everyone, while doing absolutely nothing when management is not in room. Has anyone else worked with someone like this? How do you deal with all the showboating without getting irritated? Has anyone seen these types ever get the karmic justice they deserve or do they just keep getting away with it forever.
What did you always want to ask but were too afraid of?
Give it your best. I'll answer truthfully to the best of my knowledge.
Verizon Stock now $41
Can onky imagine rhe Dan direct reports hiding in offices amd DEI Sr Directors using AI to answer " Now what?"
Really miss seeing Directors walking around Basking Ridge HQ parking lot claiming volunteer hours!!!
Does the EC Care What Employees Think?!?!
Every day, associates at BNY Mellon share raw, unfiltered feedback on TheLayoff.com—concerns about ongoing job cuts, shrinking mobility opportunities, and a workplace culture that feels increasingly uncertain. What’s striking isn’t just the volume of comments, but the silence that follows. People are asking whether Executive Leadership genuinely cares about what employees are experiencing or whether these voices are simply being ignored.
The Executive Committee has chosen not to acknowledge the discussions happening across these forums, and that silence speaks loudly. Associates want transparency. They want accountability. They want leadership to show that they understand the human impact behind restructuring decisions. Instead, the absence of communication creates more anxiety, more speculation, and more distrust.
So here’s the question for Executive Management and the broader community: If thousands of employees are expressing the same concerns, why is leadership staying quiet? Silence may be a strategy, but it’s not stewardship. It’s not engagement. And it’s not what a global workforce deserves.
It’s time for leadership to step forward, listen openly, and respond honestly. Employees aren’t asking for perfection—they’re asking for acknowledgment.
Voice Survey?
With everything that’s been happening lately, I’m finding myself wondering how candid I can or should truly be. I know the survey is presented as “confidential,” but I’m curious whether others feel comfortable giving completely honest feedback or if you’re holding back because of concerns about confidentiality or potential repercussions.
No judgment either way, I’m genuinely interested in how others are approaching it.
