Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

There have been an alarming number of senior leaders leaving

Getting out since their stock options aren't worth sh-t, I guess? I'm sure they will be replaced by external hires with no industry experience who live nowhere near a Medtronic facility!
You'd think the board would wake up to what a problem Geoff is. The stock is in the 70s!

Project Octane! Next reduced MIP for FY27. Honestly there isn’t much more to cut. We’re down to skin and bones supporting the MDT executive lifestyle. How about 85% ethanol octane for the G550?

@f1 there is talk that we are going to reduce benefits for some employees. For example, everyone won’t be offered the same health insurance depending on your job and leveling.

@dz

Medtronic already got rid of Recognized. I wonder what other employee benefits they are going to cut. Maybe cutting our 401k match like other companies are doing?

Watch our MIP be 100% this year and then cancelled for unknown future return . Then GM will step down. Mission accomplished. MDT is done.

Straight from the Jack Welsh GE playbook. Acquire at any cost, trim off the non-profitable units, bleed the rest dry. Rinse. Repeat.
Except it runs head on to a brick wall. Look at GE now….its split into dozen units and spin offs and is a shell of what it once was. Yet those units will acquire at any cost, trim off……

I wish I could go through that revolving door. Make my millions and then leave the burning dumpster.

These days executive leaders at the highest levels are a dime a dozen. Who gives a sh-t who comes and goes through that revolving door.

Karen Parkhill (CFO), Carol Surface (EVP HR), Ken Washington (CTO), Greg Smith (COO), Bret Wall (EVP), Bob White (EVP), Sean Salmon (EVP), Jacob Paul (EVP), not to mention numerous VPs/Directors at the lower level who founded some these products.

All left in the past 5 years. Either they got some sweet other gig (they didn’t) or they saw some serious legal financial issues and didn’t want to go to jail for being responsible. The fact CEO still has a job indicates some serious issues they are hiding to keep the fraud alive.

Medtronic board and leadership are getting rid of the wrong people as usual if only these d-mb kids at Elliott would wake up and understand that they shouldn’t be listening to a single person on this executive team they need to be getting rid of the people who have no medical device experience which is 50% of this organization now because of d-mb fu-k geoff

A senior leader from my department who was smart, had great vision, and beloved recently left. I guess she was sick of the BS from Geoff and Co.
