Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

I've got an offer from a company that laid people off a few months ago

I really, really want to leave US Bank, but I'm wondering if it's safe to join a place that obviously is not shy about cuts. Has anyone here taken a job at a company that recently had layoffs? Would you do it again?

You are seriously asking that hoping for an honest, reliable feedback on this site? Are you that desperate? Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Every company I've ever worked for had layoffs. This company is a dumpster fire led by mo--ns. If the other company is growing it's time to go.

If you accept it, do it in the knowledge that being a recent hire doesn't protect you. Companies hire and fire within weeks or months all the time.

You should be ok at Target. They did the big damage months ago.

I would since most companies aren’t like this place and aren’t led by imbeciles laying people off every two months. We have a group of MC mo--ns.

This could be a good move. At least you know they have a budget for the role.

It depends. Is their leadership more ethical? Cuts happen everywhere, but how did that company think about implementing it and how do they treat their employees and customers?
