Layoffs are Jan17 thru Jan20. We've already had meetings with HR on separation plan Thursday and Friday last week. There were 400+ managers on the calls. Total across bank is 4.5K+- being let go. On technology side, half of the list needed to include non-programmers.
As to bonus, yes you'll still get a bonus, but the lists were made prior to the bonus's being assigned. Meaning that if someone was on the list their salary raise would be set to zero, and allocated to others, and the manager likely picked a low bonus and gave the money to others.
Hopefully I'll be let go, after I let my list go.

@4cot Email about the site manager being let go was written in a way that made it seem it was his own decision. 100% Nobody believes that.

It is what it is. If you think you’re next you’re probably right. I knew. I was ready to go and timing was great. Covid. Working again now and making more and not looking over my back anymore. My first raise was more than ever at BNYM Good luck

I won’t believe it until I see it. Been getting the same rumors for three years and it hasn’t happened yet.

What kind of psycho starts these rumors? We all know BNY is horrible, but what is the upside of making up layoffs/dates? I got wacked in 2019 and we knew it was coming for months.

Same thing every time. Randos walk back the date, walk back the scope eventually crickets. We’ll probably displace an aisle somewhere.

@fix

Talk about lemmings… here’s a clue

A positive outlook would be like you getting a sense of self worth and interviewing for a new job at a new company instead of carping about benefits cuts.

The BONY lemmings will never leave… no guts. I’m so glad that I left this toxic place.

How the heck could somebody have a positive outlook when it was just announced that they’re putting the screws to us once again by delaying our match in entire year

Wake up lemming

So many of these rumors have never materialized. We’ve come through a rough period virtually unscathed. How about a positive outlook for a change.

New Year, new attitude and anybody positive can find a new job.
