Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

We're constantly told that open communication is important

But somehow that only applies when the topic is easy and doesn't make anyone uncomfortable. When we try to find out about incoming cuts, suddenly its silence. Funny how that works.

Every notice how thousands of U.S workers are let go, but yet the Senior Vp's and Md's are never let go. They are just shuffled around given another fake job duty.
Its part of the old boy's network.

@1bv Yes Senior mgmt making promises to clients without checking with the people
who will be doing the work.

Telling the client the project will be done in 9months when in reality it will
            take 15 months.

Great post, and sadly not many people know about the Indian caste system and how
toxic it is.

Notice how they lay off U.S workers and replace them with H1B Indian workers (lol)

Notice how Indian mgmt will take credit for your ideas.

Notice how when Indian mgmt messes up they will blame a U.S worker.

Yes a toxic depressing place to work.

They need to evaluate people properly before placing them into management positions, especially those that were raised in India. They constantly bullying and talking down to people because of their caste system beliefs. They behave like this the moment they see you below their level regardless if you are Indian or non-indian. You're treated like a pleasant. This company is toxic to the core. Nothing gets accomplished and deliverables get delayed.

Also we're not blind. We see the job postings with the salary ranges in the kitchette areas in JAB. Why keep sponsoring H1B1 Indians and pay them more than local talent that are more qualified?

There's no open communication where I'm at in Alpha. We got a couple of delusional and insecure VPs in Quincy that keep information to themselves while their entire team suffers.

You do the work, they take the credit, and demand you can do better.

You follow their orders, it goes bad, and they blame it on you.

It's best to leave such depressing place. You dedicate much of your time, to a job and career. This place doesn't deserve that sacrifice.

I work in Global Delivery. Not sure about other areas but GD is a dictatorship inside the company.

The place is dysfunctional, chaotic and in permanent crisis. I'm amazed it makes any money at all. I've never been to so many cringe-worthy meetings in my life. The inefficiency is breathtaking.

A lot of things have ground to a halt in my area of Global Delivery. Everyone is looking over their shoulder for the safe exit and not really focused on anything beyond the bare minimum to get their paycheck. Never had more disconnected senior management than we have now.

Open communication means, (Only praise the company with positive talk)

Do not criticize the company

Do not make honest suggestions which do not follow the company goals.
