Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

MLRP Program

Besides the US, which countries are actually terminating for 2 NSI in 5 years? I know a lot of the countries we operate in have labor laws that don’t allow termination based on relative performance. Was HR hoping people wouldn’t know their rights when they sent the email saying it applies across the corporation.

I hear HR in the UK are still trying to cook up a plan that meets the general intent but is closer to legal. The MLRP process as described in The Email is not remotely legal under UK employment law so will definitely need some tweaks. I look forward to hearing more about it……

If you get let go in Canada due to nsi they don't even tell you. You just get released and provided severance.

Am in Asia, and I’d say most Asia countries allow EM to get away with that.

In Canada, ppl that get let go because of NSI still get severance that complies with firing without cause.

It’s the unofficial country program for the US. Don’t have to offer packages. Just increase % NSI
