To my Cengage colleagues stilled mired in the muck of this soulless entity, I just got a new gig and gonna take a little PTO before quitting.

@s9 get a better gig. They are out there. I don’t know you but most people that I knew there were better than Cengage.
Cengage leaders are some of the worst professional people I have ever met. The lies roll easily off their tongues.
Now it’s time to commute to home office for new gig.

LOL Yes there are careers available. Cengage does a massive Reorg, look at there Cengage career website. All of the roles they laid off are open for the next person at half the salary they were paying. We got rid of individuals 45 and over, high salaried, long tenured employees and as many DEI employees as one could with out it looking suspicious. They are doing everything they can to make the books look good before the IPO. Everything except selling their digital products to market. If they were selling and gaining market share they wouldn't have to resort to layoffs twice a year. When will Apollo and the board place the blame were it belongs with Management.
Get your resume out there. Apply for some positions. Everyone is saying how bad the job market is but our colleagues are landing jobs. There are so many of our colleagues who left the company that are at some of the companies you will apply too. Even if you want to stay in the education market, there are careers available.
I am envious but happy for you OP! Job market is brutal right now, especially for remote roles.
