Does anyone know if i can collect unemployment while on my non-working notice or do i have to wait until I'm formally released in August?

@bv In Iowa you have to wait until your 60 day notice is up. You can probably get the ball rolling though and get the paperwork submitted though. Iowa Workforce is a pain in the a-s to deal with, good luck.

you are still employed during the non working notice so no. some states will allow you to claim both severance and unemployment at the same time so check your states unemployment site and be ready to submit everything the day after your non working period ends.

In many states you can’t file for unemployment until your severance ends

You are still an employee during the 60 days. You need to wait in most states. Which state are you in?
