I look around and I see so many talented people putting up with so much nonsense. We all deserve so much better than what we're getting here and what we've been getting for years. It actually surprises me that more people haven't already decided to leave and find something better.

@b8 same for our dept. positions are filled based on the qualifiers of age, race, gender and s-xuality. Experience? Nope. Education? Again, nope. Incompetent? Most definitely
I finally left and I feel better than ever. Better opportunities are out there.

I left last September after five years of watching HR and Leadership decline. It's no longer about teams or departments. It's all about individuals and who you're related to.
Even after almost a year, I am still preaching at my new company about not outsourcing and not allowing HIBs into the organization. It'll be a death spiral after that. PepsiCo is my example So far, so good.
People actually are leaving. I’m also glad people are starting to speak out that it will take them awhile to get to certain things or even return emails because of work load.
@OP . Totally agree . I’m familiar with R +D and can’t comment much on other functions.But R and D senior directors and vp and Senior VP positions are filled ,significantly, by technical incompetent people .So no one below has a chance to correct this . Many have left R and D at lower levels as a consequence. Good luck all.
