what is the base salary for these positions at Verizon?
I am looking to apply to these positions in Florida.
How much do they pay?

Stay away! Don't come here
@17a thanks for the response. Yeah I was just simply asking which is why I said “is that fair to say?” I wasn’t making a statement of fact just trying to get a gauge so not sure why the down votes either so I appreciate you providing clarity
@159 I love the downvotes from id--ts clearly not in the channel. I have first hand information, they are my employees. I see what their pay packages are when making offers. Veteran SAMs are still easily cracking six figures, but most of the new guys are not. While this is different between regions, the quotas in ours are too high for most to make the kind of money that they did in previous years. Lots of folks still trying to "flip" lines to hit gross gain quotas, but that no longer works with the new comp plan. I have seen SAMs hit 150+ new lines and make $2k checks because they were all tablets and low paying gains. Honestly, mid markets feel more and more like they are being managed out than being built to flourish. I believe the best days are in our rearview.
@124 it seems like b2b and smb reps are ki-ling themselves just to barely crack $100k…would this be fair to say?
@11y we have had so many Diamond Club members move on to other roles, and even more outright leave the company. When they end up at competitors their customer base follows them because customers are just as unhappy as reps are. They love their reps, hate the company.
@11q atrocious haha. VBG is not going to retain or acquire any top talent account managers with that kind of base salary and if no one is even hitting quota and that’s that do barely hit. Top talent will leave to other companies and Verizon will never get anyone other than internals coming from cr-ppier roles or outsiders with hardly any experience
@10r mid markets. Folks that came over from the R2B world did not receive increases in base, only at risk, which none have hit.
@wd is this for smb or mid market?
@mc the new ones that have came in on our teams have all been in the 45-50k range for base, even with experience.
@gk they keep saying around 40 lines but it’s a mix of smart phones and fwa to get at least to 100%
@k3 what do you mean half that? how much do most b2b reps make for base salary???
@a9 not even close. You clearly do not even work in B2B. The top 5% are in that base pay range, but the vast majority are around half of that.
@gk here in B2B the quotas are in the three figures for net adds. Even in markets that are completely saturated. More than 60% in my region are not hitting, but each month they increase anyway. The C-Suite is clearly squeezing all that is left to get their pound of flesh while attempting to manage us all out.
@fd that’s fookin crazy. Yeah it seems they are wanting to bring in smb reps around $43-45k salary. sad. I think b2b mid markets they bring external hires in around $55-65k but if you’re internal and coming from retail I’ve seen them bring b2b reps in at $47k simply cuz they were a retail rep prior. What’s quota like this month for SMB?
Not true
@f5 Everyone is either thinking about leaving the company or going back to retail.
this is THE worst job to have. with micromanaging alone it is best to just leave altogether. i was a retail rep and onky received a dollar increase in hourly pay. LEAVE when you can
SMB reps, what’s quota like this first month no stores? Reasonable? How many people on your team have already made an exit before July either to mid market, back to retail, or left company altogether?
Two of the worst places to be in the company. And there is no way to tell you what you'd make. It's not a universal pay rate, your negotiation and what they feel you are worth is really what you bring to the table. I am part of the old guard, over two decades here. My base salary is more than 2x the newest employee on our team. Hoping they hit me with the layoff so the young ones can keep their jobs.
how is business doing now? anyone in B2B or R2B?
the base salary for B2B is $80,000 or $38 per hour
Dont take them, not worth any salary increase
