Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Moremgr

21 employees, 3 managers = 1:7 ratio. Cutting to 1 manager still covers all 21. Removing 2 managers saves ~2x manager pay, no output loss.

Being in sales all these years at Vz..(40) the ratio of sales reps to mgr was studied many times and usually was a 6-8:1 ration. Focus on training, sales funnel reviews but BEST for Customers.

The issue isnt to few directs it's to many Directors and VPs that have zero accountability for field training, development of funnels and at best attend dog & pony client visits.

I have since retired but many friends still there that share the polluted DEI legacy culture that is entrenched.

With the recent loss of the Vegas NA AD and the team being managed from another state, confirms the future logic of more headcount per mgr is coming.
The days of 10-15 employees per AD are over.
A NA AD with their salary can easily manage 25-30.
Goes for WFH divisions too.
You now have many redundant positons that can be eliminated. (RE,CE,TE,REG)
Remote monitoring of actual work being completed (FUSZE-IOP) isn't something new, just more enhanced.
