Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Just sitting here answering questions

We’ve officially trained our replacements. Now we are sitting here with no work just answering questions they have, if any. It’s getting harder each day to wait this out.

The 4 D's of NOT "cross-training" or "training" your replacements or coworkers under the pretense of Citi's excuse "just in case you're on vacation or out sick", to delay or prevent Your Layoff, or if you're getting Laidoff regardless at least throw Wrenches and Sabotage Citi's plans since they're Fvcking You Over:

Delay and Stall telling them your techniques, trade secrets, trouble-shooting methods, details of your job.

Deny having any knowledge or skills to do your job. You need to get Amnesia and play Dvmb.

Defend your !gnorance. You can't divulge what you don't know. You can't tell them what you don't know.

Dvmb-play Dvmb.

The above works for me. You're welcome.😁

How long should employees be expected to unofficially train others, lead projects, and take on management responsibilities without the appropriate title, authority, or compensation?

Many workplaces rely on employees to mentor, onboard, solve problems, and guide teams while the recognition, promotions, and pay go to those at the top. Developing others is valuable, but when unofficial leadership becomes an ongoing expectation rather than a temporary responsibility, it raises questions about fairness and accountability.

Don't tell anyone that No one else, No other employee knows how to do your job.

Else your manager will force you to "cross-train" your co-workers and force you to divulge your techniques and trade secrets under the pretense of "just in case you're on vacation or out sick" other employees need to know how to do your job.

Divulging how to do your job and trade secrets makes you fungible, replaceable and Fire-able.

I had a manager @Citi do the above to me. I absolutely stood firm and used every excuse in the book to NOT divulge info, trade secrets, techniques and NOT train my coworkers. At most I gave the bare minimum info that can easily be found or asked from other employees.

This is the Citi Hunger Games and a game of survival. Employers will throw employees to the wolves if and when the tables are reversed!

I teach them silly things, out of order, every few weeks. They document and read it back almost good then they disappear and new people ask again! Wow, like a government job but pays better. Be useless my friends.

was in the same boat before our department was let go, best advice is to sabotage their training best you can. It caused our layoff to be delayed 2 months due to them failing the knowledge check.
