Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Morale Booster

If you want to raise employee morale, it's quite simple. Reinstate real paid time off, FTO is evil. Remove the thrive together requirements, people want ultimate flexibility. Stop off-shoring business critical roles to India, it's horrible. Nothing makes me want to go above and beyond quite like not having PTO having to attend an office to make big real estate happy all while having to train my excellent eastern replacements.

Why don't you guys leave reviews on sites like Glassdoor where it actually matters? Netapp actually does closely monitors the sites ratings and reviews. and people decide to interview or not based on the same.... so go leave your honest reviews!

@16g At least you were honored with the truth instead of the bs my manager said.

@133 Completely agree! NetApp has made many mistakes in the past 5 years or so, but this one is by far, the worst one. Ki-ls morale, teamwork (competing with teammates rather than collaborating), distrust, lack of transparency, etc. it is absurd. Have managers set clear goals and expectations and measure them at the end of the quarter. If everyone on your team meets them then they all get rewarded. I'm sick and tired of this "you're great but I had to pick one to be on that list and it's your turn" bullsh-t excuse.

Can I add to this. The forced bottom 10% is absolutely ridiculous. Since this was implemented things went south bad.

I really do not understand why people behave like this online. @a2 immediately attacks the @OP.

They both agree with what the OP is saying, but instead, @a2 goes full ad hominem and turns something that could have united workers into petty infighting. It's no wonder we're being manipulated and exploited so easily.

How stupid do you have to be to think management cares about morale?
