Why are they sending emails about mission simplify like it's some fun thing!? And mentioning AI training. I'm disgusted at how tone deaf these communications are. People are stressed out!!!! It's hard enough to keep working without getting these emails so if they arent going to tell us useful information, they need to shut the f up about it and let people attempt to work in peace.

The email sent was strictly neutral. It was not related to layoffs in any way. As always, they still have a business to operate. What do you want them to do hold your hand while they explain?

@av just because I have a different opinion than you doesn't mean I'm miserable. I think the emails were in bad taste and they should have more empathy towards their employees about the stress this is causing.
I think you should be looking for another place to work. Not because of a potential RIF, but because you're obviously miserable and spreading misery. There was nothing wrong with these emails.
Capitalism is not going to grind to a halt while this is happening - the show must go on. so many people ascribing personal motives when it’s nothing but business. grow up.
They're trying to break spirits, so people quit before severance.

Quiet quitting is always an option...while working on finding a new job outside of the insanity.
