Got a phone interview scheduled with another company for this Friday afternoon. The position is with a local oncology clinic. Starting pay pretty dang close to what I make now after ten years. I didn't take the VSP, and obviously haven't been notified if my position within EBOS is being cut as I guess that's supposed to happen within the next couple of weeks or so. But with all that going on in CC with seemingly no positive changes on the horizon, it might be wise for me to, in the famous words of Cobra Kai, "strike first." What do y'all think?

@cy No offense taken. Perhaps "strike first" was a bit of an overstatement on my part. This is a backup plan in the event I get released as part of the involuntary layoffs, which I'm sure will begin soon. Since no one is safe with the exception of those deemed ineligible for VSP, I figured it'd be wise to have something lined up. Would rather not go on unemployment if I can avoid so. I've been consistently employed since I was 16.
Besides, this is just a phone interview. Nothing concrete or guaranteed.
No judgement but if you were leaving why wouldn't you take the VSP. The email said only if you were thinking of leaving Centene. Which made me remove myself from VSP because I am not thinking of leaving.
This is what I am doing as well, Ididn't take the VSP and I am currently outside interviewing.
Yes, take the interview and see how it plays out.
Good luck.
I would definitely take it. Or stay on board the Titanic as she sinks. Your choice 😉
DO IT!!!! Congrats hope it goes well!
Yes, go for it. I have a contract position lined up for Aug/Sept as a back up just in case. As someone who didn't take the VSP either, I think it's a smart move to make that you're doing. Congrats and hope you get it!
congrats!!! go for it
Good luck!!
I say go for it! Congratulations I hope you get it!!
