If you are not in Plano already you are toast. The direction from leadership couldn’t be more clear. The important jobs will be here at our new headquarters. Other locations will be phased out in short order. The city of Plano has even provided us incentives to hit certain headcount targets at the new headquarters.

It's kind of strange that the old EDS building is still standing tall as of this past weekend...Kinda need to knock that su---r down before T can build anything.
I work for Labs. labs is not AT&T. This facility just cannot be moved. There's too much money invested here. The plano bs is just a way to scare the tiktokkers into working harder.
The new HQ wont be workd class. Go look at texh company HQs- thats world class. We are building an updated version of what we have with a pickleball court. Have you ever played pickleball in Texas during the summer days.

Plano simply exists to reduce HQ Dallas headcount with the move. They know this will cause new pain for about half the employees who live the opposite direction. They need to cut heads in Dallas without the press. Wake up

Wonder if the new CEO at VZ would spend billions to build a new HQ? He’s shaving off billions in debt (sadly with headcount also) and we are shaving off headcount and increasing debt. Even though they have issues of their own. Our bald want to be eagle wants to be in the category of a Microsoft (stock $384) or other big tech company. He isn’t happy with being the best in the lane he’s in. As soon as there is a potential and logical winning strategy he announces more billions allocated to something that will guarantee little to no return (stock $21). New HQ will no doubt be world class but is it necessary? Of course not, Allocate the money to pay off debt or here’s an idea, invest in the people and making our customer service the envy of every industry.
Already being in Dallas doesn’t mean you are safe.
